hi!
Yeah, no problem, use as much of my stuff as you want

I like your idea of making each leader practically a different civ, I didn't know you could tie UBs and UUs to specific leaders.
Thanks. I have not so much time either, but I'm working on it (slowly).
I like the idea of the traits, Philosophical + *
Voltaire: *Creative; Leonardo: *Industrious; Smith: *Financial; ....
I'm thinking on making the UU of every new leader out of the Explorer unit:
+ Voltaire: Enlightment Philosopher cost as much as the Explorer and gives its cost in culture points to a city;
+ Leonardo: the Genius cost as much as the Explorer and gives its cost in hammer for a buildings in a city (remember caravans in CivII?);
+ Smith: a financial unit - a "little" great merchant - maybe?
An invisible explorer for some other leader as could be Marco Polo (not too much philosophical maybe) or another traveller that travelled to a foreign country bringing back informations or secrets).
Unique Buildings: it is easier, pick one and add something (Universities, Libraries, Banks, ecc... can be easily enanched in a cretive way).
Since Civ, Leaders, UU and UB are defined in .xml files, I just add the new ones there, making some new buttons and leadreheads, leaving the regular graphic for the buildings and adding some reskinned unit for the UU. Nothing great, but it works good enough.
Both the Philosopher and the Enlightenment Philosopher are simple reskins of a Redcoat and a Great Artist respectively. They use the same animations as their parent unit (which is a bit of a shame for the Redcoat, but works a lot better for the GA). I got rid of the skull and the rifle by blacking them out in the gamma skin, not through fancy schmancy Studio3dMax trickery!
I'll see if I figure out how to use them then (I wonder how the redcoat "knows" that it has to use the animation for enlightenment).
One thing you might want to do which I was too lazy to do myself is to put in diplomacy text. It never bothered me because I always played *as* them, but when you play against Utopia and start a diplomacy screen, you get a lot of [DIPLO_AI_PEACE_2] type messages instead of actual text.
I know what you are tallink about, it is with the text and traslations the borest part of the job (I'm glad i can use the part of the work you have already made). Anyway, putting more than one new civ I have to do the diplomacy text thing.
Good luck, and thanks for keeping Utopia alive!

I need some
Utopia is a cool idea, I'm glad to work on it when I get some time. If you get some time reply, tell me if you have some new ideas about it.
off topic: you're spanish?
