maybe making the black line a little thicker than the red one will also help to determine our national borders.

bugs:
the island on the lower right still has province borders over the national borders.

additions:
make the foreign borders (example aztec/roman) in light grey and our nations borders black as they are. we will then easily see our borderline but will still also see foreign borderlines.
also, you could write (in light grey) the names of the nations in the areas occupied by them.

Thanks Disorganizer. You should've been there last night while we were using the map helping us make decisions on provincial borders and the build queues.

Wow, so people are acutally using my map?

I think I'll have a new map ready later on this evening, with your recommended changes.

Indeed we do. Thanks to you, Octavian X. I use it often during Turn Chats to find all the cities so I don't have to have the game open. An updated map is even better. In between rounds, it is often a great reference tool. Thanks.

I've fixed these bugs and changed the foreign boundries. But rather than making that map messier, I just made a new one for 1760 A.D. A quick explanation of changes:
  • All Phoenatican borders as defined by the game are marked with black
  • All foreign borders were marked in gray, with the civs named
  • Phoenatican borders (black) are over foreign borders (gray), which are over provincial borders (red)
  • A key was added explaning the above
  • The map was enlarged since I realized I was overlapping too much

As always, the link

To all future mapmakers out there, I just discovered an interesting hot key in the game. Pressing the 'delete' key will hide all of the interface (mini-map, status box, menu buttons, etc.). This makes map making easier.

Oh! one of this things not documented again ;-)
We still need a volunteer to make a political map of our world.
