From the Desk of General Sparrow
Our Parliament decided to vote for a war with Persia oddly enough despite the support for a war against the Aztecs nobody voted for it, to celebrate the war being approved Governor Princescamp threw his shoes into a crowd of people, we're all worried about him.... and in preparation for the upcoming war the King recruited 11,000 more troops and sent them to the front.
as per usual, our Naval forces met the first action of the war and Admiral Junglecutter destroyed the Persian Navy in a battle with no British Casualties and 2 Persian ships sunk, thus far the remains of the Persian navy have refused to leave port in fear of the British Navy and their fearsome commander
I personally lead our armies into the battle of Al Karak
Persian troops numbered 6,000 Cavalry 8000 infantry and 1000 Artillery
British troops Consisted of 3000 Cavalry and 8000 Infantry, however we also have our millitary technology four years ahead of the most advanced European countries, making for a very close battle, however our forces lost but the Persians were weakened enough to be crushed in the next battle
since then we've made a decent advance however we've lost a large amount of troops and we're having difficulty holding our front, I intend to ask the Governor to request more forces from the King, otherwise we will most likely lose our gains
