Uploader had dissappeared and Pitboss not reacting! Reloaded and all appears well. I uploaded save game from 0800 GMT and turn time now extended 2-3 hours. No player turns were lost.

Mine will be lost, I was unable to log in earlier and won't be home from work until this turns finished. I'm in the middle of a battle so effectively I've lost out on a turn.

Damn. I should have brought my CD to work... I have access to two laptops now and could have snuck in a turn at lunch.

That's that's of us confirmed that haven't played, any chance we could have an earlier reset.

OK Due to several requests the game turn was extended again (now by a total of 9 hours), which should be sufficient for most players to get in again before the end. No moves were lost by those that did log in.

I'm trying to connect and it's not working...did it just go down? I see two of you logged in only about an hour or so ago...

EDIT: Scratch that. Guess you always just have to keep trying. 3rd time trying after doing this post and it went through.


Though I'm a bit annoyed....the reload screwed me up, since I did something this morning before work before the turn ended and that got reverted. So now things aren't going to work out the way I needed them to for this turn.

Did it go down again? I'm getting a timeout - after 3 tries in the last 20 mins, and Civstats says the uploader is not connected.

My other pitboss games work on either the first try or the second within 30 seconds or so.... this one is being the most flaky. Which is too bad, because things are pretty interesting.

I got through to the set up screen choose my civ and then it hung on the beginning scrren where the entire game was set up. very stange. Didnt get their again.

Problem appears to be with my Broadband line and not my hardware or Software. When working the normal fast connection (8M) is degraded to about 2M. at times. I will complain to BT....

I managed to get in this morning before work. Finally!

And the error that g_storrow mentioned is similar to something I saw a couple of nights ago. I started to get in, then it hung up, and when I tried to reconnect later it kept timing out.

But let the fun continue!

I had a simular experience some time ago in another game... posted about it here, post back if it looks anything like that....

Regarding Fosse. I will set him to AI, as he has missed 5 moves, and last moved on 19th. He is not playing his other games either so is delayed somewhere. Even his own server appears to be down at the moment. He is welcome to take back fro AI should he wish.

You shouldn't have done that. He is back today and would have been logging in this coming turn. Now the AI has done his turn for him and there is something that he needs to do as the AI is going to screw it up (I know from discussions with him).

Please reload the turn and turn him back to Human. I guarantee he'll be logging in this turn.
