Means that you can sell techs you trade for from others. AKA making it possible for alliances to screw over single teams. Having No tech brokering on normally makes for more interesting diplomacy IMO, because alliances have to stick together and can't trade outside the circle.

With 8 people though, what sort and size of map?

gotta be standard sized, no? small is just too small, even with low land.

basically, no tech brokering means you can't trade a tech you haven't researched yourself. You can trade FOR a tech you didn't research, you just can't trade it away.

For instance, if we had it in the MTDG, we would have been able to trade MC away earlier had we wanted, cause we wouldn't worry about getting screwed.

is it easy to have multiple patches? I think the demo game is staying 3.17, isn't it? from what I understand, overflow->gold has changed significantly.
