Hey all,

This is my first post, I've been lurking for a while and have a couple of tech questions.

I have heard about some success with adjusting a pixel shading from 1.4 to 1.1 ?

What exactly is this and whereabout would i be able to adjust that setting?
Also, for my video, what effect on performace does the screen refresh rate have, if any?

Thx

My setup for reference is:

P4 2.4Ghz
768 MB DDRam
GeForce 6200

A Pixel Shader is a graphics function that calculates effects on a per-pixel basis. Download nvHardpage or Rivatuner (google) and use the DirectX tab in those programs to downgrade your pixel shaders.

Refresh rate is how many times the images on your monitor are re-displayed. A refresh rate of 70hz means the picture you see on your monitor is updated 70 times a second. 60hz is considered to be the minimum although it produces a bit of flicker, anything above 70hz is fast enough so that the eye wont notice it. I wouldnt worry about refresh rate.
