Pixelated leaderheads

Hello all,

I have had a very annoying problem when playing BTS, the leaderheads seem to be pixelated, in the leaderhead's place are rectangles that are usually a solid color and change colors as if the leaderhead is moving. I will try to get a picture up soon.

P.S. Civ 4 worked fine on my computer, I haven't checked it recently though

- Is your graphics driver up to date?
- How are your graphics settings?
- could you please provide a screenshot?

and I've tried my graphics settings at lowest and still the same thing happens, I'm fairly sure that my graphics driver is up to date, but it may not be, should I check microsoft to be sure?

Definitely try and update your graphics driver.

Is BTS full patched to 3.19?

the picture should work now, I do have it full patched to 3.19

Please check first, if the leaderheads in vanilla civ work.
And please say what graphics card you have. Maybe it's borderline for Civ4 capability.

Just checked, vanilla works fine, my CPU info is Intel Premium 4 CPU 2.4 Gigahertz processor 256MB of RAM and a DELL DIMENSION DIM4550 graphics card (I believe)

Looking up Dell Dimension 4550 it mentions it has an nVidia GEForce 4 MX card. From memory when the game came out that card had problems. Check to see if you can update your graphics driver (you'll probably have to get it from Dell as it is a Dell machine).

You could also try updating your Directx9c from Microsoft

With only 256MB RAM you are not going to get stunning performance though.

Thanks for the info I'll be sure to try that (and hopefully get more RAM)
