That is true. Hmm. Maybe Riflemen, Infantry and other later units should get a free defensive promotion? That would offset that alittle.

I was thinking about the Nomadic trait again Platy. In my mod I have been experimenting with the Huns. I made the Hunnic UU, the Tarkan cost food to build(like settlers) as well as being a Settler in addition to a fierce horseback warrior.

If its fun I probably will give something similiar to the other "Nomadic" civs(Sioux, Mongols etc)

Anyway the fort is just giving 25% bonus for units in the city.
Sounds good to me since protective trait in bts is usually one of the lower rated trait.
If it is boosted, I guess it is comparable to the others now

Your Possession Promotion works, but not with your promotions pack, maybe you are miss to merge some code, but Cleave Promotion don't works as single promotion and don't works with your pack.

If i pillage one tile, it's 50% chance that around improvements, will be pillaged automatically too. That do Cleave?

Please look my picture again, i had not around lots of improvements when i am pillage. See #218 post in this thread second link.

See screenshots 1 and 2 above.
For every improvement surrounding the unit, there is a 50% chance for EACH of them to be pillaged as well.
It is not 50% chance for all to be pillaged or none at all.

Platy i am test your Cleave again please look images:

1) Before pillage
2) First pillage (Plantation removed - North East from swordsman)
3) Second pillage (ERROR)
4) Third pillage (Farm removed - North from swordsman)
5) Fourth pillage (ERROR)

This 100% works if i have all improvements around me, but if i haven't improvements around and i am pillage, when your code activate they look that on surrounding tiles has not improvement and program show error, this is my opinion.

I want to ask you something, has nothing to do with Civilization. Which program language you know? I know only C for now. In the coming year i will plan to learn java, C++ and C#.

I only bothered to fix Promotion Pack and not standalones.
Maybe I should bother since it is a bug

Started with C, took a conversion course for java and C++.
Python is simply trial and error, self taught.

Are you remove some promotions from pack? How to merge this with my files? What to do with Modules file? Is necessary to change some in Promotions.ini/Promotions.ini.bak?

Eh don't really understand your question since I don't even know what are your files...
There is nothing you need to do with the ini files, all you need is to ensure ModularLoading = 1 to use Modules.
Else, merge every XML file into your own XML files.

I am copy Modules in my mod and i am merge all from Python and XML folders with my Python and XML.

Your Platypedia don't show in my mod.

this work similarly to the events versions

so a new python file CvPromotionsInterface would be used where you can define the python functions used to determine custom conditions for promotions and a custom effect.

how useful do you think that would actually be for modders that plan to use the mod?
