I can do that for you, absolutely no problem, might take some time, though...:)

Very nice, I don't think it has to be shorter. I'll see what I can do for you......

Marko, I have time to write today, could you please tell me what you have in mind for it. Like should it be fact based, or more like a fiction novel,..............
Sincerly, Tracid

Wov, this is a long thread!

I like that these stories include some basic facts about the campaigns: strenght of opponents, what both sides want to achieve, the course and outcome of the battle. This can be separate part of the story and can be very short. Or this info can be presented during the story in some ways.

So, I don't have very clear vision yet. Which kind of stories you are better?

I will do it in a fictional type I think. I'm best in taht, and I can include all the facts as well as some eye-drenching remarks............

Hi all playtesters!

I'm now the most interested about two issues: Sealion and late units.

1. Sealion must be option for Axis in 1940/41. It must not be too costly early. But it must be costly enough, so that you can't make any offensives against Soviet Union before 1942.
Britain gets most of its tanks from America, these will be shipped over Atlantic every turn after December 1941. If you are able to sink these transports, you must not have much trouble.

2. Which units do you build during latter half of the game? Are there any useless units? Or too costly ones (Maus and E-100 must be very costly, though)?

I reorganised units in the scenario and got 4 free slots for new units.
Now there will be special SS Panzer units for Germans. These are very powerful units what will be only given by events.

Second new unit is Spanish elite infantry. Spanish can build them and Axis gets some by events as Blue Division.

There are two more units. Do you have good ideas what they can be? Some more special units or some regular ones? I'm thinking to give something to Allies and Soviets..

Those two units are great ideas, marko.

As for the other two units, I think that a special unit representing vichy french soldiers fighting with the UK would be good. you could have them pop up in certain spots in the later half of the scenario.
And for the soviets....hmmmmmmm....I don´t think I have any idea right now.......

I think it's a very good idea to make some "special units"!
For the Soviets: what about the old Red Guard infantry? Or tanks? I remember they had some Guard Tank Regiments, it could be a good counter-balancing unit as the Germans have their own SS tanks.
For the Allies, I don't have any idea yet. They already have special forces...

Yes, the Guard tanks for Soviets is just what is needed! :)

Now both Germans and Soviets have elite infantry (SS and NKVD Troopers) and elite tanks (SS Panzers and Red Guard tanks).

It's also good idea to have French infantry in the game and then give some of these to Allies as Free French soldiers.

In the first dawn of the 1. September 1939, at 4.45, the german army crossed the border into Poland. A total of 1.500.000 men, 3200 tanks and 2000 planes were available to crush the poles, which were inferior in both numbers and equipment. The german armies with their new "Blitzkrieg"-tactic attacked from Slovakia, East Prussia and germany. The polish airforce was wiped out of the sky, clearing the way for the Stukas to wreak havoc among the polish troops. The polish troops fought with pride and braveness, but they did not stand a chance against the superior Wehrmacht. On the 8. of September, the first german units were in the suburbs of Warzaw. On the 17. September the soviet army crossed into Poland, easily crushing the tiny border garrisons. On the 28., Warzaw capitulatet and Poland was divided for the 5th time in history. German casualties mounted 10 572 dead, 3409 missing and 30 322 wounded while the poles lost 900 000 prisoners of war alone.

Tell me what you think. This one will be the shortest one, because there is not much in the way of actual fighting...it was more like a walk........;)
Sincerly, Tracid

Ok here's some spelling corrections.......for #23. shouldn't it be "End of the Afrika Korps"?
Also on the battles, it should be Battle of Kursk ect....... :) just some corrections...

Good story, Tracid! :goodjob:

About numbers: maybe to include Polish army numbers also (they had about 1 million soldiers, 900 mostly old tanks, 435 airplanes) for comparison.

Also german tank and aircraft losses: they lost 993 tanks and several hundred airplanes (250 to 550 - different sources say differently) during the campaign.

I'd like to playtest, if you don't mind dropping a copy of your map in my mail. I've been thinking of creating my own WWII type map. Might actually help with creating it.

Welcome Darkstalker!

I need your e-mail address because this forum's e-mail don't let to send attachments. Please send a message to markourm@yahoo.com and I'll reply.

The map in TSFE was first used in John Petroski's Anstieg. He wrote that he found the map from a net collection and he don't know who is the author of it.

I have changed most of the terrain in the map to make it better suitable for TSFE. But it means that you have to use TSFE terrain rules and graphic with the map or otherway it looks very strange. :)
