Tower of Terror, man thats been at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast for about 7 years now.

Same name (partially) completely different ride. Twilight Zone Tower of Terror has been in Florida since '95 (I rode that in '98), while the Disney's California Adventure version has been in operation since May of this year.

That first link looks like a picture of a ride called the edge at Paramounts Great America theme park in Santa Clara, California. It was replaced by drop zone a couple years back.

Drop Zone, at Great America, not a real good picture, but you can see the jist of it. Just a big tower - huge, in fact - that you drop down. Hella fun.
