It comes from the main communist/anarchist divide, the belief (under Marxism) that a state is required to effect a movement out of capitalism and into the higher stage of communism. Under Marx this was to be under the aegis of a Dictatorship of the Proletariat which would self-abolish, giving way to a true stateless classless society. His model for this in later life was essentially the Paris Commune, but under Lenin and following the failure of the German Revolution this gave way to a much more mechanistic notion of lower stage communism being a large democratic (or nominally democratic) state - Socialism - that would institute the necessary reforms until such time as the state withers away.

This all stems from, in the first part, the Marxist definition of the state, which considers it a calcified manifestation of power which exists to protect and carry out the will of the ruling class, and out of Marx’s study of historical materialism which demonstrated that new modes of production do not emerge, fully formed from the head of their creators, but instead develop gradually out of mechanisms and institutions which had already existed under the old mode, and that remnants of its historical past will linger on for many years after. E.g. we live in a highly developed capitalist economy but remnants of noble and ecclesiastical privileges and deference still exist in many parts of the world.

This is contrasted with the Anarchists who found this whole notion to be bollocks; the state and capitalism, understood by them to be distinct entities, needed to be abolished together, as any attempt to appropriate the state apparatus in order to institute communism would merely result in the replacement of a capitalist ruling class with a revolutionary ruling class who, rather than pursuing their own abolition, would instead use any means at their disposal to maintain power.

So at a meta level the question is asking if you’re a Marxist/Marxist-Leninist. Although at a broader level the Social Democrats and Democratic Socialists also believe in a transitional state to effect socialism/communism, and the anarchists reject their political bent on the same theoretical grounds. It is perhaps the longest standing and most tedious question in the entire Left intellectual tradition.

Kinda don't know

"eurocommunism" new to me

Otherwise kinda disgustingly centrist. Not very cool but I guess I'm feeling kinda unsure about things these days

Some of the questions were a bit confusing

Transhumanism is not required? What you mean they don't put microchips in us?

Polical values spread? You mean having divergent ideas just for the sake of it?

And what do they mean by transitional state?

Be interesting to see how much you could prime people subconsciously and change their responses.
