Totalitarian, of course! Why? Because, I would surely get a high place in the government, say, minister of weapons research and security? I might even rule one day! Totalitarian is the only system of government that always works like it should, and if god exists and he is 'lord' of all the universe (like me), he is all-knowing. Since god is totalitarian, it must be the best form of government.

It never ceases to amaze me how many people think that they specifically are the best suited for high and evil government positions
This must bring the tally to over 2500 here alone who presume that they would automatically get the top job, or close to it

Why shouldn't I? I can just kill my way to the top! Then, just have more security around me than Michael Jackson if he went to Afghanistan. Besides, if I start the evil government, by default I will have the top job! Of course, I won't OFFICIALY run the country, some buffoon can stand behind the bullet-proof glass and get shot at! I won't make the mistakes a despot makes, I watch TV, noting all the mistakes Evil Overlords make, I'm not going to have a feast in the middle of a famine, not going to attack any democratic counties or their allies, (ala Saddam or the Taliban) I'm happy to leave them alone if they leave me in peace.

Yes, that little document has been around for many years. One did make some contribution to something like it many months ago, in a similar vein. What makes you think that the evil government hasn't already been started, and that it has been running healthily for years. You want a Cabinet position in my shadowy regime (I let George, Tony and Greenspan do the window dressing) then you apply through the post like anybody else, none of this kill your way to the top. That is so 1980s

I voted communist, but i must define that of the countries suggested i would choose Cuba, not the USSR or North Korea. Though if the USSR had not been faced with such blatant hostility I feel that it would have developed into a very idealistic socialist semi-democratic country, sadly though it went the way of Stalinism(which overshadowed it during the cold war). With Communism you have to be carefull as to how you define the government's because you must take into account the situations they face, for example the sanctions against Cuba.

It is knowen by anyone with sence that tbe BEST form of government is a benevloent dictatorship. look at history, Frederick the Great took Prussia from an obscure little blob on the map, to one of the greatist countries in Europe. Meji took Japan from an island to an asian super-power. some other dictators are unpopular but are needed by the world. the USSR was NOT communist, but a dictatorship that called itseld communsit. China today is a real communist state. Cuba is not. Had Stalin never came to power in the USSR, the 11 million people he systimatacally killed would still be alive, the estimated 47 years that Russia was 'thrown back' in terms of standard of living wouldent be, and Russia would be rich today... BUT... had Stalin never cem to power, Hitler would have won WW2... heil hiter? no thank you!

'Benevolent Dictatorship' is still elitist. No matter how 'nice' an absolute ruler is, that person will decide what is best for the country with no input from the people so governed.

And yes, you may get lucky and find yourself a 'Frederick' now and then, but for every 'great' dictator, there is at least a tenfold outnumbering of them by those who were hardly up to the task and ruled with absolute corruption.
