Trump Assassination Attempt.

And they are right. Radical leftists are no better than any other extremist radicals. They are all just extremists looking for a cause to give them an excuse to live out their power fantasy of beating everyone else into submission.
"both sides are bad" is the rallying cry of those that actually believe in their own side but rarely are brave enough to claim it.

Always interesting to see which side they're more inclined to pick in the end, too.

Whistleblowers have contacted the office of United States Senator Josh Hawley with claims that law enforcement personnel abandoned their post at the Pennsylvania rooftop from where Donald Trump was shot on July 13.

The whistleblowers alleged that law enforcement left the roof unguarded and went inside the building because it was too hot outside, Knewz.com has learned.

The climate change excuse!

Yeah, and we previously heard that the roof was slanted so they felt it was unsafe to be on the roof (and so were in the building). Cops incompetent is hardly a revelation, and its not too surprising given stuff like this:

A man whose bid to become a police officer was rejected after he scored too high on an intelligence test has lost an appeal in his federal lawsuit against the city.

The 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New York upheld a lower court’s decision that the city did not discriminate against Robert Jordan because the same standards were applied to everyone who took the test.

“This kind of puts an official face on discrimination in America against people of a certain class,” Jordan said today from his Waterford home. “I maintain you have no more control over your basic intelligence than your eye color or your gender or anything else.”

He said he does not plan to take any further legal action.

Jordan, a 49-year-old college graduate, took the exam in 1996 and scored 33 points, the equivalent of an IQ of 125. But New London police interviewed only candidates who scored 20 to 27, on the theory that those who scored too high could get bored with police work and leave soon after undergoing costly training.

(note I still think IQ is stupid)

fwiw the kid who tried to assassinate Trump seems to have some conflicting moral principles...so maybe if it shakes out as just a nutjob people will calm down....lol who am I kidding.

Spoiler Assassin's name and blurb from social media :
Ya, hes spent some time down in the Rabbit hole.

I think Crooks was Herostratos to Trump being the Temple of Artemis at Ephesos. But given the lack of Alexander, Artemis was there this time, so there was no kill.
Eh, or rather this is a heavily diminished version of the original polyonym; you know, same roots, but divide by something vast to get to the actual factors ;)

I have made it very clear which side I am on and will happily do so again should the question come. But that does not change the fact that I hold extremists to always be in the wrong.

Those who would commit violence in the name of their cause, be that violence in blood or in paper as well as those who are willing to ride on their coat tails are scum of the highest grade and deserve nothing but our scorn. For the moment we allow them to dictate the discourse is the moment we tear down all the achievements of our civilization and allow might to make right. And I for one will not stand for it.

A victory achieved through means which are immoral is no victory at all.

Lofty ideals from which nothing but the status quo is enforced. The status quo also being upheld with violence. But I don't see you advocating against that in any strong terms, or even any terms at all.

So you would try to debate the Nazis as they point their weapons at you?

Oh, maybe you're not their target so it's easy to say, eh?

Also if we're doing Secret Service conspiracy theories I have $50 million that says the wiped phone data from Jan 6th was evidence of Secret Service involvement in Trump's plot. Major Biden did nothing wrong
The previous secret service director did renounce his retirement about 1 week before the erased message inspector general investigation came out.

With the boss (President Biden) soon to be pissed, that was an excellent moment to take on the Chief Security Officer job for the Snapchat parent company. :goodjob:

Keith Olbermann is repeating the claim that Trump wasn't hit by a bullet. Hit by a piece of glass is the line making the rounds, despite the fact that the teleprompters were left intact. I don't know, maybe liberals aren't any more tethered to the truth than populists.
Snopes is pretty sure it was a bullet.

FBI, the lead investigators, still don't know yet.

I'm pretty sure the sloped roof thing was an excuse Cheatle made up after-the-fact, unaware that it was only a 1:12 pitch roof (the same as an ADA compliant wheelchair ramp.) Who knows what the real reason was. I have this nagging suspicion that the roof was identified as a vulnerability and was intentionally left unprotected, hoping someone would take advantage of it. And if not this time, whatever vulnerable position was left open at the next rally. It's difficult to say at what level the traitor might be, but it's probably not the agents on the ground. ("Will no one rid me of this turbulent priest?")

Beaver County SWAT assistant leader and sniper told ABC News his version of the events.

* There was no planning meeting the day of the rally and no direct communication with Trump's Secret Service detail.
* When he spotted Crooks being suspicious, he radio in and when it didn't seem like anyone was doing anything, he started tailing Crooks, but lost sight of him.
* The crowd spotted Crooks on the building and started yelling about it.

1:12 pitch roof
 Oh, ouch.
but it's probably not the agents on the ground.
I also am going to guess it wouldn't be the ones forming a doughnut around him or standing at full attention, uncovered, where shots just whizzed(popped, supersonic) through.

I suspect this to be a case of Trump's security just saying to the locals: "we're coming in, we're getting our way, and you better make sure there's no funny business."
Probably happens more often that we thought.
And only now did it get out of hand.

Just poor communication, poor interpersonal skills, same as just about any problem in the world...
