Current state:
Carthage is currently a top-tier civ, specializing in early expansion and snowballing. Recent patches have put further emphasis on aspects of the UA, and de-emphasized or marginalized others.

Current issues:
  1. With changes to gold purchase costs, especially in early game, Gold on settle has become incredibly valuable, and Carthage has more purchasing power than ever before.
  2. Base East India Companies have all gained +1 trade routes, But the Great Cothon, Carthage's unique replacement for EIC, has remained at +2 TRs.
  3. Resource diversity on trade routes, the aspect of Carthage's UA most geared towards a sustained game advantage, has been marginalized by the trade route distance mechanic. Though still a modest increase in gold, trade route distance is now the primary concern, and overrules resource diversity as a decision for trade destinations
Carthage is actually more powerful than in previous patches because of the changes to early gold power outweighing the need for more 'durable' long-term benefits

So what do you think? Should Carthage be changed in any way?

@Ziad made another poll 5 minutes ago >.<. This one doesn't require people to log in though, so that's good. Maybe I'll keep it up
