Poll: whats the most usless wonder.

i dont understand why so many people hate longevity. i rarely get it on time to be useful since my games are typically over by then but other than that i think it is an excellent wonder.

You stated the reason yourself.

For my money the Museum of Molasses (or whatever) is utterly useless. If you need a few more happy citizens in only one city, there's plenty of other things you can do that have better long-range effects.

What do you mean long-range? MoM never expires.

I mean there are other actions you could take besides building MoM, for example acquiring luxuries which go to all your cities. Or building a marketplace and getting cash and happiness. Or even building a settler/worker is a quick-fix that yields results over time. That kind of thing. I realize the wonder doesn't expire.

Manhatten Project is the only one that I actully consider bad to build. Let the other civs do it. Many of the other I don't care for.

There are few Big Wonders that I want: Sun Tzu, those that give you science/tech, those that make you save money, Hoover Dam, Universal Suffrage

Although the Manhattan Project is a relatively bad wonder, I still say the Mausoleum of Mausollus is the worse. (Idk why but I just hate it so much.)

The Mausoleum has sort of become one of my favorite wonders, since its one of the only ancient wonders I ever manage to build. It's also not that expensive to build, and allows my capital(where it's built) to grow larger.

This is in addition to other happiness options, so in the end my capital can reach 12 citizens fairly quickly. And by quickly, I don't mean growth rate, but the fact I can make all citizens content to the point where all twelve citizens actually work and not riot.

In this 'poll': Manhatten Project.

Anyone else: SETI comes too late, and Longevity - starving your people.

I agree with Longetivity, by the time it comes around I never really needed it. Manhatten Project should be a small wonder as well.

But it's a matter of preference, as many as said. One man's Pyramids is anothers Great Wall.

(Though I'd be surprised to see anyone declare Great Wall to be the best wonder :p )

Question: Does universal sufferage give a big bonus?

No, in my opinion at least. Your civilization's still plagued by war weariness almost like before (also it's only "useful" in Reps and Demos) and it costed too much shield, while you could build something better (eg Hoover Dam, Theory of Evolution and such).

Actuallly, I just remembered if you build the Great Wall, you have a bug in all your cities against bombardment.

In my experience, the AI usually build Manhattan, but by far the worst and most pointless piece of crap is longetivity. 1000 shields, and you have to watch your turns go by with cities starving to death. Plus with only three culture, i could build a library (gives 3 culture) for 80 shields and be done with it.
