13. 'Ain Jalut

Oh, and if anyone is somewhat familiar with Three Kingdoms history, the Battle of Red Cliffs is also called the Battle of Chibi.

If the battle of Ain Jalut is the one being called Aïn Djalout in French, then I think it's something like the first defeat of the Mongols against the Arabs. I may be wrong but I think that it marks somehow the beginning of the end of the great Mongol invasions era.

Then maybe perhaps I have heard of it at some time, but I don't recognize the name.

13. 'Ain Jalut

Ain Jalut was the defeat of the Mongols (Il Khanate led by Hulugu Khan) by the Mamluks (Egypt) in 1260, ending the Mongol Conquests in the West.

Okay, here's my best attempt:

1. D-day - Allied invasion of Normandy 1944
2. Monte Casino - Allied assault on Italy, WWII
3. Austerlitz - Napoleon, heavily outnumbered, smashes a massive allied European army with superior tactics
4. Waterloo - Napoleon finally gets his comeuppance and gets smashed by Wellington
5. Marathon - Athens defeats Darius' invasion force, dude goes for a big run to tell everyone, dies
6. Thermophilae - Spartans hold off Xerxes' massive army for a few days
7. Gaugamela - Alexander's big victory against the Persians
8. The Battle of the Red Cliffs - Seriously no idea
9. Dien Bien Phu - Colonial French get smashed by Vietnamese
10. Carrhae - Romans get utterly smashed by horse archers (forget whose)
11. Teutobergald Forest - Massive Roman legion gets ambushed and annihilated by Germanic tribes. End of Roman ambitions in Germany
12. The Seige of Constantinople - Weren't there about a million sieges of Constantinople? I assume you mean the actual fall of Constantinople to the Ottomans which was pretty much the end of the Byzantines
13. 'Ain Jalut - Mongols actually get defeated in battle, can't avenge it, marks an endpoint to western conquest
14. Battle of Qadesh - Big chariot battle between Egypt and Persia (I think)
15. Seige of Tenochtitlan - Spanish siege of Aztec capital under Montezuma
16. Seige of Vienna - Ottomans held off by vastly smaller forces
17. Battle of Hastings - William of the Normans beats the Saxons
18. Lexington and Concord - The first(?) battle of the American Revolution
19. Trafalger - Nelson pretty much wipes out Napoleon's fleet, dies. Kiss me Hardy!
20. Actium - Augustus annihilates Marc Antony's fleet
21. Stalingrad - The biggest, most depressing meatgrinder in history
22. Malta - Christian knights hold out against massive Ottoman force
23. The Alamo - Texans have a massive last stand against Mexicans in a church or something
24. Yo Mama Hill!/Other - In one of the defining battles of 1917, Field Marshal Haig orders troops to walk slowly out of the trenches and stand on top of a hill in No Man's Land telling Yo Mama jokes until the Germans run out of bullets shooting them all, so that the second wave can rush the German trenches under the cover of massive piles of friendly corpses

Thank you kind sir! My suspicions were correct, I was unfamiliar with the name, but I've heard about the battle.
