But, I think if you failed, you failed unless you try again, then you will have succeeded, even if you failed again. So trying is your success.
Gee, the outcome is both 50%. 
But really, if you try to fail, then there must be a reason (like you don't want to come in the next round of some game). So if you succeed in that, then obviously you succeeded in the whole cause.
