PolyCast Focus: "Civilization V" with Jon Shafer and Pete Murray

Yeah, I finally figured where to click to get the whole thing :D

Is there some explanation for people ignoring the biggest item and trying the smaller stuff first? ;)

Thanks first for the kind words, Suho1004; how you describe making use of the "table of contents", or "summary" as we on the show's panel refer to it, is its primary function. :) Slinko, thanks for your words of support as well.

Tomic, glad you were able to get setup so that you could listen the special on your commute; thanks to Rexflex and rastak for the technical direction in advance of my availability to do so. Hope the three of you enjoyed the listen as well.

I liked the part at about 13 minutes in where Jon Shafer admits that he's: "locked Sid in a cupboard" and made Civ V into "Panzer General for pre-schoolers" I think that's what we all suspected anyway.

also a fan of the Polycast here. really informative interview. listened about 3 times through, shared it with some friends too. really looking forward to Polycasts' coverage of Civ V strategies into the future. been watching some of TMIT's Civ IV LPs to tide me over tho ;) also, i think some make too big a deal of the non existent mod marketplace. (sorry for the mini-textwall, but my Enter key is busted and i'm lazy):lol:

Anyone who is not aware of this Podcast - worth a pot of coffee to settle down with and listen.

{EDIT: Ooppps - comment below noted, yup should be "Polycast" - sorry about that .... }

There are no dramatic "revelations" and silver bullets et al. It is however a good coverage of game play principles, its history, the why's and wherefore's etc. Its a good relaxed coverage of Civ5.

No doubt conspiracy theorists will expound some nutty scenario ..... fine .... meanwhile if you want a relaxed coverage by Devs on the how's, why's and "what we did" on Civ5, its as good as you'll get pre-release. There are ten sections in it.

Should be called "polycast" on the title, and this was already posted, yes it's worth a listen if anyone has yet to do so.

Thanks for the kind words and summary, Zydor. :)

Are you a new, occasional, regular PolyCast listener or..?
