I liked the part at about 13 minutes in where Jon Shafer admits that he's: "locked Sid in a cupboard" and made Civ V into "Panzer General for pre-schoolers" I think that's what we all suspected anyway.

also a fan of the Polycast here. really informative interview. listened about 3 times through, shared it with some friends too. really looking forward to Polycasts' coverage of Civ V strategies into the future. been watching some of TMIT's Civ IV LPs to tide me over tho also, i think some make too big a deal of the non existent mod marketplace. (sorry for the mini-textwall, but my Enter key is busted and i'm lazy)

There are no dramatic "revelations" and silver bullets et al. It is however a good coverage of game play principles, its history, the why's and wherefore's etc. Its a good relaxed coverage of Civ5.

No doubt conspiracy theorists will expound some nutty scenario ..... fine .... meanwhile if you want a relaxed coverage by Devs on the how's, why's and "what we did" on Civ5, its as good as you'll get pre-release. There are ten sections in it.
