Population limit??

Have got a TOT game going which I'm having a little fun with. Am going for my Hall Of Fame #1 spot so am filling up the world with cities and trying to max my population.
Problem is it seems to have got 'stuck' at 320,000,000. I know theres a limit on the number of cities you can have (255) but would like to know, is there a limit to population size too.

IIRC civ 2 can only show a population of 320,000,000 citizens in the status window, but there is an actual population that you can get by summing up the population of each city manually. I've never had that many citizens though.

It is just a limit in what the game will display, your cities will still grow normally even though the game doesn't show it.

There is a 'no limits' patch that allows the game to display the correct number of citizens above that amount.

Although I don't think I'll take up Funxus' suggestion of counting manually. I don't think I can count that high.
