Post a picture of your empire

I always build lots of bombers. I'm a firm believer in shock and awe. I've literally turned an entire continent into a giant pile of rubble before. :ack:

In A.D.1310, the Roman Empire came to dominate the entire world:
Spoiler Game Over: Western Empire, Final Position :

roman_empire_1310_w.jpg

Final stats: 118 cities, 735 population, 308 units [212 workers: 93 natives, 121 slaves; 37 cavalry: 12 in armies; 19 infantry; 16 artillery; 10 frigates; 5 transports; 3 armies: all cavalry x 4; 2 knights: both elite; 1 settler; 1 tank; 1 guerilla], 5722 gold. 67% territory, 82% population. 6374 points.

that works, but you can always hit "Prt Scrn," then go to Paint, go to edit-paste, and the image should come up (as long as you didn't copy anything else in between that time)
Yeah, but his lets you take screenshots and continue your game without going to paint.

Hope it works better than MapFinder.....

Hmm, I am still learning screen shots on Windows. On Macs, you hit control-shift-3 and get a PNG file on your desktop to be edited later in Preview, or whatever other program you want to use. Normally, Photoshop Elements is my choice, if needing to do more than just crop and rename. Have a lovely shot I need to take of the AI building a city right next to a volcano, on an island no less.

Since there have been a fair number of pictures of AI cities next to volcanoes, is there some attraction of volcanoes to the AI?

Not that I'm aware of, timerover51, but the AI doesn't seem to have much aversion to building next to them. Somewhere, I think in the "Interesting Screenshots" thread, I posted pictures of the AI building cities next to a volcano. I think the AI wanted the wines next to the volcano because it lost ~4 cities to the volcano, one right after the other.

it is nothing like Mapfinder. This one works for us peons.

After the game ends, or I quit, I go to the fsscreen file on my desktop and do whatever I want with all of the pics I have taken.

I have taken as many as 20 pics in a single game session and I never have to think about them until I choose to do so.

It is the best add on that I have found for my Civ time.

Taking screenShot is a headache, isnt it?

Here is the small program which will help u take the screenshots with ease.
just run the program before starting the game and in the game, when u want to take the screenshot just press print screen button thats it, its done, the pic will be copied in the folder u choose, no need to come out of the game.
isnt it simple

Check out the link to the utility program given below...

With nukes in play, things must be a bit rough. You know, nukes tend to be sent at resource towns, so if the resource isn't hooked up, they won't hit that town again. This game must take alot of work, is this a super huge map?

Were you talking to me? Well, the South Africans nuked São Paolo while it still belonged to the Brazilians. People have tried to nuke me several times, but my SDI has been able to shoot down every missile, except for this one time the Indians sent one to the city of Natal. Damn! This is the world map that's already in the game that I've changed just a little. I don't remember if it was the huge or small one. But it does take a lot of time though...

Thanks, Aabraxan. I remember seeing your post, but could not locate it right away. In this case, the AI is trying for two gold mines, which on my MODDED map are worth quite a bit. Right now, they are covered with lava though, so no gold mines for the AI. Wondering about the city's survival. If I can, I will post a screen shot in the Interesting Screen shot file.

Game In Progress: Japan, Regent, Islands, Aggresive AI. Started next to Egypt, who had the only 2 Irons:eek: within their Cities. Used Horseman & a Archer Rush to take one, then Swordsman to wipe them out. Japan is great for the 2 turn disorder on changing Govts, but a slow builder. Had the GA and have Cav. am ahead overall on a Conquest score, but`s it`s 1725 AD and both France & Germany near me are a bit ahead on tech and have Cav & Rifleman. Tried to pick off England but they built tons of frigates and have stopped any more units going up there....emmmm. Attack someone now or wait for Tanks & Bombers ??

This game finally ended! But I don't understand why. It said that I had achieved cultural victory, but if you look at the victory status screen, you can see that I didn't have enough culture in a single city (Lima) to win:
victorystatusla2.jpg

Cultural victory can be archived by either of two: Get one city onto 20k or get entire civilization to 100k (I think there had to be no culture-near civs too).

So you won by getting your civ to 100k, I think. cuz your and China difference is big enough?
