Post Romanum PBEM

yes.... this pbem is becoming a very slow one... unfortunately... and each turn is so simple to play...

hi guys!
luthor is already aware of this, but i wanted to inform you that i´m taking over SITS in this game.
i downloaded the scenario and tested the savegame. everything is working fine.
i see that i´m at war with the gupta empire... can anyone please post here or send me a note with a brief summary of the situation of my civ?
and if i my civ has "secret pacts/agreements" with any of you guys, please send me a note!
i´d like to have a better understanding of the current diplomatic situation, before playing the turn.
thx! :goodjob:

Hi Academia and welcome to the game!

You are indeed at war with me :spear: This is actually a very new development, started last turn.
ok, so i assume you declared war on me just because?
i mean, to expand your empire? no other casus belli?

Academia: As per the Tracker the turn was sent to SITS. You can download the turn from the Tracker and play it (I mean, if you are willing to play).

yes, i already have the file, so i´ll try to play later today

well, i think i´m doomed here. i´d really appreciate any kind of help... from anyone!!

The problem is that we are all far far away!

I actually thought that Rd13 and SITS had an understanding, but it seems not. I do not blame India for attacking on this exact turn (it's not Rd13 fault that SITS went away) but... it's not very pleasant for the newcamer!

I did not attack the newcomer. The turn with the attack was 5 days before SITS declared he needs a replacement, as anyone can see from the tracker.

Anyhow, this is a long awaited retribution for sticking a knife in my back and killing my GG way back.. like, waaay back.. 50 turns ago.. India remebers!!

Lets hope the game gets more intense now, seems like Europe has been in a political stalemate for too long too!

interesting, seems like Dharmasetu has attacked and killed my stack, including winning fights with 2.3% (!), 3.7% (!) and 40% attack odds..

as an experienced player Academia knows the house rules that once you decide to attack, and lose, you cant replay the turn, so I can only applaud his courage to go all in against impossible odds.

this is great, I must have a ton of luck now in reserve for future use!

Yep, I totally understand your comment/suspicion on the battle results. I was able to rushbuild a couple of musketeman last turn, so my idea was to use them against your stack to inflict some damage... but that was it.. "some damage".
The final results were a very pleasant surprise.

Seems like my luck has not turned.

Well, the stage (a banana plantation, no less) is set for another giant battle, where once again I have all the better odds. Surely the improbable will not happen three times in a row.

I will be on vacation until the 18th, and unfortunately couldnt find a laptop that plays Civ. So take your time with the turns and I hope you all can live with the few days waiting time! :thanx:
