and more, this time by tanelorn :D
edit: should i make my own faction?
i have a seires of scenarios (most of them unreleased) based on a race of half fox half human people, i have hoardes of units made for them, from ancient to futuristic, so it is obvious that i would make them my faction, i am also working on cities, icons and other stuff for them, :D

They might go well with my biped wolves...
there are quite a few differences, i call my fox people "Malakians"
perhaps a term for wolf or fox based races would be a good idea, Like Say a scanario with humaniods, insectoids, aquatics and kanines? basicly a term used to describe races that share certain characteristics, :confused:

Heres a prism tank I ripped from RA 2 today its not too great. I forget who asked for it.

I think we should have one tech tree which everybody can access, and separate tech trees for each faction branching off from the main tree. ToT has the ability to put techs in different "groups", and then choosing which civ should be able to research which group. That is why I chose ToT in the first place.

Anyway, I've attached a scenario showing the progress of this project. I've included the PluEmp, the Towelites and the Lyconians. I had to make up a name for the Lyconians, since CH didn't mention any name. I've also taken Joeb's towel unit and made it into the Towelite settler unit. Only the Towelites may build it. (It has the same stats as a normal settler, it's only a graphical change.)

We also need someone to make the faction profiles for the Katz and the Bathosians.

The scenario is set on PE's map of Plutonia. I don't know the Plutonian geography, so starting postions are random. I've also taken the freedom to use modified MGE terrain graphics and MGE units, so please give me some feedback.

Stats:
- Normal game (we're still in the alpha phase)
- Difficulty: King
- 7 civs
- Barbs: Restless
- No restarts

Enough small talk, here's the file. I'd like some feedback on it, so all constructive criticism is welcome.

About the units--the GBCC needs someone w/ a sword or something riding on him; after all, the unit is supposed to be a Condor Rider.

Otherwise, everything looks good :)

(Haven't played it yet, just took a look at the graphics/.txt files)

Heres that walking Squid someone asked for. The first ones by me and the second one was done by Cimbri a couple of years ago.

I know for a vietnam scenario there were seperate tech trees. In the editor they simply made techs that obsoleted the units/improvements from a certain civ. These would be called NO USA, or NO VIETNAM.
I have seen this method used in many scenarios, i have used it myself a few times, it works quite nicely, :mischief:

Is this the type of thing you wanted?

I didn't? I thought I did...

Name: Wolves
Adjective: Wolf
I meant for the name of the leader. And I called your faction the Lyconians (I didn't read that you wanted to call your faction the Wolves before now, and I'm so used to call your faction the Lyconians)... I'll fix it in the next version.

As I said, that method is obsolete when you use ToT (like we do). In ToT you just put techs in different groups, and give the different civs access to the technology group you want them to have access to.

Anyway, before my next update, I want a basic tech tree ready. I'd also like everyone with a faction to choose graphics for their unique units. The graphic artists are doing a great job, and we don't want to waste their time, right? I'd also like to know who made the graphics, because we need to give credit to the original artist.

I'll also suggest a modified faction list:
- The FraFed
- The Specialists
- The PluEmp
- The Towelites
- The Lyconians/Wolves
- The Zeonians
- The Katz

The reason I want the Zeonians instead of the Bathosians is that the Bathosians weren't very active and we need the Zeonians to attack Lyconia, which would trigger the PluEmp and FraFed retaliation.

Think there will ever be a MGE version of the scenario?

Look for Pisces Centauri. That's my Empire's Starting position.

Dark Blue= the PE
Light Blue= Lyconia
Yellow= Specialists
Red= Towelites
Green= Zeonians
Purple= Katz

That was me! It's amazing! Thank you!

Edit: Or I thought it was me. Maybe someone else who had a similar request, but whatever...
