Under his administration, Egypt, Ethiopia, Arabia, Lebanon, Iraq, Russia, Denmark, Germany, and Korea were all reconstructed. His administration prosecuted Earl Browder and sentenced him to 20 years in prison for treason, and repealed the Thomas-Browder Amendment. Rejects racial or religious superiority. Progressive, honest and layman. Lowered scientific rate from 50 to 10 in order to stimulate the economy by constructing courthouses, banks, factories, and other production/economic facilities throughout the United States and its colonies. I'm assuming since Truman never became president from FDR dying in office and Truman succeeding him, that he would never run as president. Wouldn't it be ironic to have Truman running against President MacArthur, as opposed to the other way around? Haha. Not to mention, Truman was unpopular enough not to run a second time, and seeing how the person he ran against in reality was Dewey (who had no votes), I can safely say he wouldn't have made the Democratic ticket in this alternate history even if he tried.

By the way, the 1952 elections will have a TON of choices. I'm going to need to come up with a more compact way of voting for that. The elections after that really narrow down.

This is a thead for generally just posting about your empire. Anyone can. I don't see why people assume I have a monopoly; it says why the thread is on the OP. When I finish I'll post the summarized story on S and T maybe. I'm having fun making this a democratic game, though. Well, except 1940-1944

Earl Warren wins the 1948 Election!
(This also marks the only election so far where I was surprised by the winner! Good on you guys for keeping me on my toes.)

In celebration of this victory, Earl Grey Tea is invented. Earl Browder, however, claims he did it.

Earl Warren barely wins the Republican Ticket at the Convention, being toe to toe with the current president MacArthur but eventually succeeding with more eloquent speeches, a less creepy smile, and a promise to get the US smart again. MacArthur is stationed in Manchuria as a general, and for some reason he really wants to fight Koreans but Warren says "No." Overall, the Republicans DESTROYED the other parties at the poll; almost no contest! The only other candidate who got substantial votes is Dobbs -- remnants of Browder sympathizers. Pah!

PS. That terrible Earl Grey Tea made me realize that America had no tea. NO TEA. NONE TEA. NIET TEA. NEIN TEA. ZERO TEA. LAISA TEA ANDEE. TEA ARIMASEN! Should get some... But where could I colonize to get it... I'll have to look in India.

PS PS. I'm in a good mood because; Spring Break. Might get my wisdom teeth removed as well. Plan on hiking Mt. St. Helens. Might write a short film script from my arsenal of movie ideas.

I'm actually ending this scenario. I decided that this game late game really is becoming the most boring thing on earth. I'm going to restart without wiping out the Old World. I also wanted to update my SVN since it was getting very buggy.

I'll restart this kind of voting and summary thing on my DoC Choose Your Own Adventure thread. If anyone has a good idea for how to speed up and simplify the voting process, message me.

Actually I disagree with that move here. Technically Royal Tenenbaum hijacked this thread with his story, as it was originally supposed to let people show off the empires they have built in DoC, it's just that it has been derailed so early that nobody has bothered to do that yet.
