Is that the fault of pot smokers? or the fault of rigid laws that try to say you what you are allowed to do with your own body? if Cannabis was legal the state would get a lot of taxes and the money wouldn't flow in dark channels.

Good to see some interesting points of view, also good to see some fellow smokers out there.
If you are afraid of it- good stay away from it as its an illegal (in most places) and addictive drug. Its caused me a fair bit of trouble in the past. Now I can spend $25 and it lasts me over 2 weeks, back in my bad old days that would have only lasted 2 or 3 days.
However, at times it has been my only friend and has saved me from lonli ness and boredom countless times. I know I'll be perceived as sad by some people for making that comment but its true. It has given me a different outlook on life. Sometimes when I analyse problems while stoned I come to a more realistic conclusions- it helps.
Horses for courses though, some people can't handle it while others thrive on it. I have a friend who is Food and Beverage manager in one of Australia's largest hotels/casinos who smokes every night.
Like anything, I think you have to try and keep it in moderation. Its a better drug than alcohol.

true, it suppresses short-sight emotions so you can figure out what you really want. I think if used in decent doses it can enrich ones life a lot.

It depends on how much you have on you. I think if it's over a certain amount you are automatically a "dealer" whether or not you were going to smoke it all yourself or not. Plus, I know of at least one state who has zero tolerance laws. Meaning if you have even a trace amount you go directly to jail.

I've heard you can busted for even having drugs paraphenalia - such as cigarrette papers. I'll often smoke roll-up cigarrettes in the U.K. but when I'm in U.S its strictly cigarettes. Just in case I forget and take some papers with me and get stopped at a state line or at the Mexican border.

Chocolate is my weakness as well and I wouldn't say no to a caffiene-packed iced vanilla latte from Caribou coffee! (and the mega-hottie with the blue eyes who makes em makes the drink even more heavenly

I smoke pot on weekends with my friends but i wouldn't smoke during the week in the school year cuz i wouldn't want it to get in the way of school and my job (i don't think it's affected my learning, i still have a 3.8 gpa). I think it's fun but i'd never do it to "fit in" and i've never smoked when i'm unhappy. Flat out rejection is a bit ignorant in my opinion, and trying pot might change the way you view it and other parts of your life.

I don't see any benefit from pot. I have never smoked, and am not planning on it.

But if it works for some people, more power to them, as long as they don't get in trouble (not because of the act of smoking this stuff alone, which I don't really care about either way, but because of subsequent actions, criminal or merely irresponsible, done under the influence/want of it, which may affect others around them in negative ways) .

I started smoking last year (i'm now 16). For a while I smoked every day. Even though I was able to keep a 4.0 gpa while high, I now only smoke on weekends. Most of the time I used a water bong, but occasionally used a pipe. Recently I have been using a brass hookah that works well.
I support legalization because I don't think it is bad as alchohol, and not as addicting as cigarettes. Some people say it is easier to get marijauna than alchohol, but I disagree. I know of a couple convenience stores that don't check id's for cigarettes. They don't sell gas, so cigarettes are probably their main income. It's also easy to get beer. You can just wait outside a gas station till you see someone over 21. In my experience, almost all guys in their 20s will buy you some. I've never smoked alone and never bought pot from a dealer. I'd say for me, cigarettes are way easier to get than pot, and alchohol is just a little harder to get than pot.
