It is in my opinion the root of alot of problems in this country, including over crowded prisons and illegal border crossings.
If pot was legal the prison populations and their associated costs would be greatly reduced.
Pot smokers often don't think of what pot does to them or to other people.
I, for one, do. That is why I do my best to minimize the impact on mine or other people's health by using a bong to smoke 1 or 2 puffs of potent bud, as opposed to 5-10 puffs of low quality weed from a pipe or joint , and don't smoke around anyone who doesn't want me to smoke around them.
One thing is that the whole process of getting the pot to them is the root of many deaths. When the pot is grown it is often used to finance illegal resistance movements, which in turn kill many people. When it is brought across the border it is done illegally, but sometimes it is sneaked across in the middle of the desert and the people who try to get through the desert often die.
not true. most pot smokers purchase local hydroponically grown, genetically enhanced weed (more potent, yes, which simply means one has to smoke LESS in order to get high) , and avoid the crappy seed-ridden, mass-produced chit often grown in 3rd-world countries. I haven't been able to get "Mexican gas tank weed" in years. In America today, the majority of all weed (even the low quality stuff) comes from California, Kentucky, and Canada (better watch out for those Canadian revolutionaries).
Don't get me wrong, I'm not encouraging you to start using bud, just I find your reasons for not having any respect for someone who uses marijuana a little naive..
....but I still respect you
