Pounder's Library

Pounder, I look at your graphics library, and tell myself that I can at least use some of the resources and add them to the basic set to dress up my games. I fire up Gimp, and open up the resource files, after first making sure that they are saved to at least two places, activate the selection tool, and think "Go for it". Then panic sets in. Any suggestions?

Makers Mark helps. Down a shot, then go for it! You can't go wrong with anything by Pounder.

Hmmm, is Maker's Mark by any chance, alcoholic?

Would make a great resource. :)

Yes, I see that. I am sort of surprised that no one has made a Jack Daniels resource, or a Tabasco Sauce resource.

I did actually add a couple of Pounder's resources into a resource set, which is presently on my IBook laptop with a going bad hard drive. I need to get them off and hopefully, they will get me going again.

:nono: Whiskey should never be served in a snifter! (Just in case this becomes a resource ;) )

-Oz

You do have a point there, Oz. Snifters are for cognac, and only good cognac at that. For whisky, large shot glass, no ice.

It would be nice to have a Tabasco source resource for the Modern Era. The amount consumed by the male students at my son's college, where I keep telling him that the food quality is an order or two of magnitude better than when I was in college, is astonishing. And it is a MUST for MREs. McIlhenny made a bundle during the Gulf War in 1990-91 shipping container loads of Tabasco sauce to the US military for dressing up the MREs the troops were eating (on not eating, as the case may be). Tis a pity that a resource cannot be used to increase either research or military effectiveness.

Personal Note: Having had both the old "C" rations (or to use correct Quartermaster Supply Officer terminology, "Meal, Combat Individual") and MREs. the old "C" rats come out ahead. Of course, I might not be the best one to judge, as I ACTUALLY liked the "C" ration Fruit Cake. Definitely somewhat weird.:crazyeye:

Personal Note Two: The number of times I have been drunk can be counted on the fingers of one hand, with four fingers left over.

thanks for the response :)

i wanted to try and use your reef files but not as random coast tiles. instead, i wanted to use the reef gfx for LM Sea. to be more precise, i want to have a Great Barrier Reef for Australia for a project that i'm working on. hope this makes sense :D

I get it now.

What terrain set are you using, if it is not one I'm using, maybe I could mod a few tiles and you could paste them into your lmsss file.

that would be great. thanks.

i think it's Snoopy-based but can't say for certain. here is a link to some screens of water. you will probably be able to discern the set from the visual. Vuldacon modified this set for me some time ago. i kinda call AoI terrain. but it's a conglomeration of the water color terrain and snoopy (water).

Maybe you could post the wSSS file and I will take a look, it would be good to start using the palette from that file.
