As far as the thread goes...While I found it quite humorous, and even had some good one liners myself (I think) I do not believe it had any place on CFC. It is much like has been often quoted by some of the mods about sex, you can get it all over the web, deal with the fact it isn't here.
Actually if it wasn't for some of the racial attacks on Jews, most of the thread did fall into the category of a humorous religious debate. I don't really agree with his cut and paste tactics as being appropriate, but I could accept that if not for some of the material that he was pasting.
As for it being a joke, I am not convinced. Perhaps it was, and certainly the person had no belief that he was going to win converts, but that doesn't mean that he might not have been serious. Just last month I was at a British Isles Festival and saw a gaggle (Is that the right word?) of skinheads. These people are out there.
Oh well, it seems to be over now, and no lasting harm done. It will fade into the collective memory much like Toe Cutter, Pellekan, and others that are before my time.
BTW, this thread sure seems like sight feedback to me.
