President thread- Term 3

At some point probably but that would mean moving it out into the open in full range of a possible lurking keshik, the archer still has an axe beneath it (allthough a partiall injured one).

exactly...with reinforcements coming you can risk the small stack. It benefits us to kill there units since our production is higher than theirs. We can trade 1 for 1 on units.

I thought our small stack has a spear in it...if it does you hit with axes and defend it with spear. i just dont see why we should let them run up and fortify in the capital where it will take us more troops to kill it.

The spear was a turn behind as it had to waste a turn landing, how are you planning on killing the archer/axe anyways? there still two turns ahead.

using the neutral road... if they dont move you can move 2 tiles. If they are smart they pillage that road to gain one turn from attacks coming from the south..delay tactics can work.

no i cant as it takes a turn to move onto a road, therefore id be leaving the axe out in the open for a turn.

Speaking of roads, perhaps we could get a worker over there for a few turns in order to connect victory to their network. It'd certainly make troop movement easier.

thats what i was thinking however i think we should be planning our next full on strike to keep up pressure, galahadba (cbr) has told me their attack has been shot down.

shot down as in destroyed or stopped by their team. keep the pressure up.

It would be worth backtracking and doing hunting quickly or getting hunting off someone. A few spears would greatly help dealing with their Kesliks, so the Axes can get on with the buisness of taking out thier cities

I couldn't agree more. Spears are a must, and with hindsight, I can't believed we tried this without them... against a UU and all :crazyeye:

We all seem to agree about keeping the offensive up, but where, and to what end? Do we have/ can we get info about cbr's botched attack... troops faced and such?

We have hunting, i got it in liue of med i think in our deal with CBR, we already have a few spears made.

post#303 i directly talk about a spear already :)

i was thinking a combined land and sea attack on their iron city, if we move units up the little peninsula we can then send another 6 in galleys, combined total of about 12 should be more than enough to take out that city.

As long as victory is safe, it sounds good. Knocking out the strategic resource never goes astray. Again, some defender numbers from CBR would be nice.

From memory they have a couple of jags and a chariot on a hill, they're reinforcing with more jags and axes.

New save came in, no word from CBR yet, but i sent this to COG
Hey,

We havnt heard much from you but we hope that you are feeling well, we have noticed much like us that you seem to be getting left behind in the tech race, should we maybe start working together to see if we can catch up? Possibly you could even get involved in a war against GCA if you would be so kind as to help?

Kind Regards
BCLG

in terms of the war, GCA have left this lot here. I can only assume this is meant to make us think twice about attacking quite why they thought that was a good idea is beyond me especially seeing as they know we have 3 galleys

We're really falling behind gnp wise to the leaders, EVG/GWT it doesnt help that they have beauro already of course.

Yes, we could always use a bit of diplomatic magic to help with our shortcomings and boost the war effort.

Doe anyone know where their source of horses is? We could pillage it together with their iron resource and gain a moral victory at least. I mean, being able to defend only by building archers can be quite demoralizing.

Regarding that stack, I think that it's a counterattack against our city Victory. If they advance next turn, we could withdraw our axeman back to the spice jungle and fortify.

We're currently the rulers of the seas, so let's make use of that advantage. We can ferry troops faster than they do so let's overwhelm them by attacking at multiple directions. Galleys will play an important role in this.

Also, if CBR continues to attack, Yellow Destiny will lose eventually.

:agree: I like the way he thinks!

I'd put taking out the iron before the horses, however. With keshiks, all we need are a few spears. But axemen and such are more annoying to deal with.

Very true. Although a few flanking II keshiks are often a major pain in the ass, since they will weaken the spears enough that the keshiks can attack the other units and retreat.

The horses are about as far away from us as you can get straight through GCA territory which was why i spoke to CBR about building a galley a few turns and amphib assaulting it and hopefully pillaging it or razing the city.

We have another two spears in the next attacking squad of six, so if they were in the jungle, that would essentially be 10vs6 not to mention any promos we give them.
