Pictures say it all, think its about time we started thinking about a peace treaty, sent a note to CBR asking what was going on with them and whether they were thinking the same?
on the plus side GWT seem quite interested in getting philosophy so hopefully that can be wrapped up in a few turns.

They would be stupid to accept peace. They will take victory without any problem.
I think thats the game right there. We have no iron and we are way behind in techs. We grossly underestimated their ability to tech and then defend our first wave.

Not really, there are 4 other teams out there not fighting who are getting ahead of them. Getting a peace deal from both CBR and us would do them more good then taking Victory which will still be difficult. Fortified axes and spears in the jungle with woodsman promotions are difficult to break down.

We started the war and lost. I think it’s reasonable to expect them to ask for concessions for razing a city. How much are we willing to pay for peace, should it be necessary?
As for loosing the game...remember we don't have to win, just avoid being killed. As innocuous as we are now we are beneath the contempt of the leaders. If we suck up to the right team we might make it into the finals on pity.

No if anything we are a huge target now. We wont sneak past anyone. We will probably have to conceed "Victory" to them.

That’s fine because the victor will be taking two of his "friends" to the finals.
No matter how weak we are it just won't be convenient, especially on this map, for some teams to bring an invasion to us.
We can also hope for the three way tech alliance to keep out defenders reasonably up to date.

It would be a good idea to sign peace with CBR asap, and give them Victory if they ask for it. Otherwise, we will both fall too far behind to have even a slight chance of going through to the next round.
Ok new turn, our three spears are being chased away by an xbow and three axes, capital has been switched to axe build, victory to archer build and the axe has been moved from out of fever river to go into a galley next turn to get sent to victory to defend it.
