Anyways, I played my turns. And I think we should declare during the next turn-set, for sure. We're ready.

About my report...I decided to exit notepad without saving :blush: , so here's a short summary:

3rd-4th turn, Cyrus cancels Silks for Cows deal.
4th-5th turn, Qin starts his golden age.
7th or so, Cyruses golden age ends.

Looks like the honor of declaring war will fall to Penguin! Be sure to move the troops to just off the Chinese coast before serving them with our declaration. I think that we have several deals going with China, so this might sting initially. Hopefully those resources will be ours soon! :hammer:

Well this was an “interesting” set of turns. Not sure if it turned out well or not but the game is at least becoming more fun :devil:

Turn down research a tad to generate funds to promote our 2 City Raider 2 swordsmen to Grenadiers as they will be nice attackers.

Arrange forces into groups on Galleons and load up the troops

UMMM Now I did toy with ignoring it as Isabella is weak but decided that if that is what the RNGods decide then so be it. Dramatic change of plan and lets take down Isabella. Apologies, normally I would stop and ask at this point but as the game has been progressing pretty slowly decide just to plough on. It may be a :smoke: move in game turns but it feels like fun to try and take down the Buddhist Alliance starting with Issie.

Apologies for the intermittent screenshots this function in Civ hasn't playe dup for a while but is now.

Qin is a monster but we have to take down Isabella first unfortunately and hope he hasn’t run away with the game. If we also take down Fred and Washington we might get a domination win which sounds like the best plan!!

Our Economy is fine it is just Qin’s that is scary

So I believe we stay on a war economy and just push relentlessly through Isabella then Washington then Fred, sounds simple ehh!!!

Note Issie has a frigate up North somewhere that sank one of ours, we have 1 healing up there but will need to protect our Galleons ferrying troops. We could upgrade our Galley!?

I'd say she timed that just about right. It might of been worse had she declared when our Galleons were already half way to China! We needed to attack the Buddhists eventually. The only reason we couldn't was because we didn't want a war with all three. Now we've got our war, and we haven't hurt our relations with Fred or George! Best of all possible worlds, really.

I'd be surprised if Isabelle were ablet to convince George or Fred to declare on us, but we'll see.

Madrid's defenses down to 32%. 3 more turns, and we can launch our assault. Isabelle has Grenadiers now, so watch that she doesn't upgrade her Longbowmen.

Economy steaming along at 40% (+47/turn); culture rate @10%, primarily to speed border pops of new Spanish holdings and in New Arabia/Second Island to put pressure on Qin and Fred's settlements there.

Not surprisingly, we are falling behind a little in tech to George and Qin.
Both have Rifling (neither will trade it.) We discover it in 8. Qin also has techs along the Scientific Method path.

Some of the units built during my turns I have left to provide some defense for our homeland. We've got some $$ to upgrade our outdated units if we need to, but I thought it best not to leave the homeland too underdefended.

I agree! I'm a warmonger at heart! :D I'm pretty lousy at diplomacy (but I'm getting better!)

I kind of goofed capturing Toledo when I did. :blush: I was moving that assault team through Germany with the intention of sending them to Madrid. I guess I got a little confused, and ended up next to Toledo. There were only two weak defenders there ( a CG1 Longbow and a Pikeman), so I decided to attack. I decided to raze it due to it's proximity to one of Fred's cities (Hamburg?), which was already putting some cultural pressure on it.

Way to take it to Izzy! I think once most of our troops come back into our culutral borderes our economy will start to pick as well as when the cities come out of resistance.

Do y'all think we should wait for infantry and/or artillery for the next war?
