Problem with black ground...help pls any1!!!

I bought the Civ4 several days ago and I started to play,but sudenlly all groud just disipear and turned black,but only the ground not the warriors or the resourses.
So if any1 can help I will apritiate,it will be stupid not to play the game for some glitch.
I've also re-instaled the game and is the same.

Yeah I had this problem my lad. If you have an Nvidia card then install the nvidia omega drivers. Google for it or search this very forum for a more extensive topic on the subject.

I too suffer the black ground problem. It seems to be one of the stickiest situations since sticky the stick insect got stuck on a sticky bun

What is your hardware configuration, Mr. No?

And check the link in my signature, it should tell you with about 95% accuracy whether you meet the minimum requirements for the game.

My mad mean mashine is (don't laught):
Celeron 950 MHz
256 SD-Ram (on VIA is 133MHz) (if any1 have spare SD-Ram I will be gartefull )
40 GB WD
Geforce 4 MX 440

The mashine is not so called beast but it runs the game(not so smooth,but aceptible)(I even played Doom 3 on 800x600 mid,and it runs with 15fps-35fps) when I tired the omega drivers,but after like a 40 turns all went black again

Maybe it's best to use the workaround for black tile. You can reveal all tiles using WorldBuilder. Hit Ctrl-W in the game when you see the problem. This gets you into WorldBuilder. Then set Reveal All Tiles and Exit back to the game.
