Progressive MP game thread

I see a few hints but that's all they are. The crash is in the EXE and is a response to something very abnormal about that save. I would urge Acularius to undertake his own sense of deja vu and replay his turn and update the SVN with a new end of turn save. Something went very very wrong.

@Acularius : You'll need to use the update to revision option in the Tortoise selections when you right click on the main repository and back yourself up to the point where you can replay the turn. Once you have, you'll need to then update to the current MP SVN revision (just update would get you there) THEN put the savegame in and commit the change.

It's a little tricky. Let me know if you need me to break down the steps further. I don't know if you did anything that screws things up or not so this is not a blame issue. Just something is wrong and I figure we need to back up a bit and get a fresh save for Koshling to go on.

I wouldn't blame you for wanting to take a look. I doubt you'll find it any more helpful than I have but by all means, go for it, if nothing else but to get a better concept of what is taking place.

@Acularius: I'm going to make this much easier for you as far as the SVN stuff is concerned. Just update the SVN, then play this turn, then commit the resulting save to the SVN again, please. If we keep having a problem then we'll try something else.

Odd, I was able to play my turn as per normal from the more recent files. I didn't think it would explode into this.

I've always hit 'no' on the recalc at the beginning of my turn after I insert my password.
Generally the game does it thing, I end the turn and exit the game when prompted (after it notifies me of the appropriate save being made).

I delete the file, shorten the name of the new one and send it off to the repo for committing.

Took the turn you uploaded as 'per usual'. Password in. No to recalc. Did the turn. End turn. Prompt that the save was made. Closed to Desktop.

So, hopefully that works? I wasn't expecting to take a turn this late, was more checking to make sure everything is all right.

Looks like it worked. Thank you for your willingness to retake the turn. Again, I don't blame anything you may have done... sometimes things get corrupted somehow right? Anyhow, Koshling is up again and should be able to take his turn now.

No worries. I wanted the game to continue as well, so I was willing to take the turn again if that was all it takes to get it to work.
Mostly just documenting what I do so as to figure out if it was inherently wrong to do in the first place.
