Prom Dilemma

If you're nice (not wussy) and you guys are on friendly terms, start small, ask her for coffee, and talk. Took me forever to get there...

So, er, Pete, update?

Fear of rejection...I had that.

It took me asking to get rid of it

I got turned down...well it's actually more complicated (and worse) than that

but I got over my fear, and since then I couldn't have been happier

My ego, self-esteem, and self-confedance are already in the gudders. I dont want to go through more turmoil by going through repeaded rejections.

Bad enough my social skills are at the early teenage level .

Heh learning the hard way is the only way

Youre talking to a person who is socially inerpt and has been struggling with YEARS of the fear of rejection. No thanks to thoes dang middle schoolers who picked on me and scared me for life

I'm still socially awkward, me, homeschooled up until I started college, NO social experience :( But I learned just be normal friendly with girls and dont try to 'go out' with em right off the bat.

Don't worry about it

make friends with some girls who share interests with you, or who are common friends with one of your friends. Get to know some girls. If you like any of them, just talk to them more and more often. It doesn't have to be a monumental effort, it can be just two friends who want to have a go at something more

There's someone for everyone as long as they have their eye out, and you certainly do

I just wished it would just come in a form of a book or a dating sim. Dang Girls are lucky since they have the power to reject men. Wished I was born as a girl .

The diffcult part is that I am in my last semester and going to be graduating College soon. So I cant make friends with some girls nor do they have any interests as I do.

Just by hearing your POV I can tell that some girl somewhere is going to find you absolutely adorable (I've seen enough to know what girls find adorable  sad but true)

Go to church or school or work or frequent an eating spot? Just get friendly with the girls who are friendly to you. And what about your classes? The girls interests must be similar, get to know 'em and keep in touch!

Dont worry CG, you will find the right girl, have your whole life ahead of you. Relax....you have to start somewhere, and is usually the beginning....

And for the update:

I dont think im going, I dont feel like it.

My reasons:
1st girl - annoying sometimes
2nd girl - too quiet, only talked to her once and that is when she asked me to prom
3rd girl - she is a sister to a kid in my class. The kid in my class never takes showers and stinks, The sister isnt stinky though but she is weird, and annoying also...

So I dont think im going...

Dance...ermm..kind of..lol
Yes I want to dance
Yes I want to have a good time
I dont know if I'll have a good time when I go
I like the girls as friends, I barely even know the one
I wouldn't call the girls "hot" and they aint ugly either

I have only read page 1 of this thread so far, but in case you haven't decided yet:
