No kidding, right. Most natural dyes come from flowers (or seafood!), not bizarre blue tentacles.

Yep, I agree. I did a Google image search for dyes and dye and I couldn't see anything that resembles these tentacles. Maybe somebody else will have better luck. I have no idea what they were going for, but I'd like to know!

Yeah, I've done the same. Also looked through all wikipedia entries on dyes, and nothing comes even close.

Well obviously dyes are made of dye-tentacles just like kebab is made of kebab animal:

Yeah, I guess I could see that. I suppose they had to make it stand out on the map, hence the stylization.
