China + india = 17%
but the E.U. has 159 million mre people and india and china 2,100,000,000 billion more

There's more than just money to be proud of in the US, and that's the best you could do, cmon what else :)

Although Grenoble and success aren't words thrown together very often when talking about football, eh, Yeek?

Eh and how the heck exactly a Canadian would know that? :D Well, i agree nothing to write home about as far as we'are talking football, but we've got a nice hockey team. Nothing compared to some top of the line NHL team though. FYI, former Grenoble's goal keeper, Christobal Huet, (wich i played with btw when i was in the junior's team couple years ago) is now playing for Montréal.

Are you proud to be an American? Why/Why not?
No I am not proud of being American since I am Sioux and I feel like the Natives are and were humiliated by a contriy that has one of the nations that is on the top of the lists for commiting war crimes.Yes I don't actullay live in South Africa  but I would love to visit there :D

Yes I'm proud of America
I'm not proud of bush or our current goverment however that does not mean I can't be proud to be an Amercican.

My parents were born here and worked live and will die her as did there parents and as will I so WE (all americans) built this country the strongest most advanced nation in the history of all civilization, proud? yes.
I understand that you are proud of your family.

*edit* with your logic it's the same as saying why vote? your just one person. etc etc we are just one person one in 298 million of the piece of the american pie ... of global domination*
I fail to see the equality in these 2 things. A 1/298.000.000 influence and "0 effort" are not identical - far from it. Can you explain what you mean as I don't see the similarity between the topic and voting???

"I am not a citizen of Athens, nor of Greece, but of the World."

Huh? So why hate a country today for what was done over a century ago? Not sure I get that one.

Obviously, Socrates had never been to East LA. Heh.

Well, having natives americans parked in camps for a long time may let something behind dont you think. At least i believe it is how he feels about it.

Though... No nations is free of acts like this, all great powers has done such things one way or another.

Well let me put it this way how many Natives do you see daily???that's right none that is because the American government was so sucusful at killing them off.I aslo care now because there are still crimes aginst them right now .An exsample of that would the current government is wanting to distroy a sacred palce just so they can get some gold. For that tribe that must be as devestaeting as if the Vatican was bombed for the Roman Cathlics (I am just giveing an exsample so please don't be offened by what I said)I understand why you might not get why I am still angry at this contriy after 100 years and I am not offended at that however the fact that people don't know how treibal the events that have happened to them since they have had little inforomation that was given at the time of the massicre

No. The analogy is like I would be pissed at Britain today because of my Scotch/Irish ancestry. Should I? Nope. Anger like that only hurts the person feeling it.

Do I feel proud about what happened to the native americans? Nope. But neither do I feel responsible. It happened, its over, and done with over 100 years ago. It certainly doesnt change how I feel about my country.

Actually, if I choose to I can see a lot. I live in Washington State and I see many each and every day.

Nope. There never was any government agenda or plan to kill off the Indians. Relocate yes....exterminate? No.

Link and proof please. As right now most tribal land is not under any jurisdiction of the United States, but under tribal authority, I find such an accusation to be extremely unlikely and probably false. If you can provide some type of link or proof of the situation, I most certainly would like to judge it myself as opposed to leaving it to misinterpretation.

Why would I be proud? I didn't create America or make it noticeably better as far as I can tell. Bad terminology in my opinion.

Thus far we are the heighth of humanity, I am proud to say the least. Our innovations are beyond scope when looking back on the last century.

1. if you choose? anyway, youre on the west coast, where it was most recently settled by americans [the cowboy ones]. nobody remembers
the east coast indians...

2.ever hear of Little Bighorn?

3. i think he was referring to past incidences.

wow...theres an exaggeration.

How can you be proud of something you have nothing to do with? Unless you are an immigrant, you did not choose to be an American. The same thing can be said for me. I love Québec and our place in this world, but I can't say I'm proud to be a Québécois. I was just born here. I take pride in what I do, not where I'm from.

Dont the East Coast indians have casinos too?

2.ever hear of Little Bighorn?

You mean where Custer disobeyed a direct order and got his men slaughtered? Yes. Now, let me reiterate.....Little Bighorn was not some coordinated government attempt at wiping out all indians. It was a single man, disobeying his orders.

3. i think he was referring to past incidences.

If it happened over 100 years ago I dont want to hear it. Links and proof please for modern day accusations.
