Puerto Rico Should Have Been a State Since 1960s

Greetings from the Philippines. :wavey: And don't even get me started on West Germany, Italy, Iraq, Japan. South Korea. Mexico. Panama, Grenada. Vichy France, Dominican Republic, & Haiti.

Those nations were NEVER declared "annexations to sovereign American territory" (except the Panama Canal Zone, itself, which I forgot to list along with Cuba, the Philippines, and the Selkirk Cession), but "post-war occupation," so the idea that those occupational administrations (as well as the Pacific Trust Territory other than the Northern Marianas), was going to be temporary, and short-term, was assumed from the start, and did, indeed, end being so in every one of those cases. So, those are very different situations there, entirely, to be fair.
