Nobody had mentioned it AFAIK, but Cathy and Boudi aren't a couple anymore :cry: ( Byebye 3-some thing..... ). I was doubting that boudi would mess with us thought, because of the DP, but for security sake continued to chunk out tanks....

Cathy discovered Radio one turn before us and managed to get all Radio wonders.... Not much of a issue, because we have 2 culture corps.

Cathy came to the rescue ( currently sending SoD into Boudi lands ) but Hatty ceased to be :( ...... In fact I think that was the main objective of Boudi, mainly because she only putted 2 units in our lands so far ( but she's attacking our ex-Egyptian cities.... ). The log confirms it: Boudi declared to Hatty , not to us... but you know the drill: vassals and DP and you have a instant WWI

Now that Boudi decided to catfight with cathy and us, we have two options: smash the lady's empire or play defense and continue to scape. ATM we have troops for the second ,but not for the first. We're clearly lacking in siege and navy ( sorry bout that... aiming to space and corps ) but we can change research to flight and have overwhelming airpower in some turns. I do think that we should play defense while fattening our army and jump over Boudi's territory @ the first sign of weakness

I agree with r_rolo1, we should be fattening the army and sweep her countryside at weakness signs. Maybe we can even bag a domination victory before space :mischief: ?
 
oh god, i'm not the guy for this job...I'm, a builder not a conquerer, i can't build troops when playing defensively lol! i'll try my best though.

I think i'll play tomorow. Today is mostly relaxing as it's the final day of school 'fore the holidays at my uni.

As I previously stated, after a few calm weeks it's all about warring in every single SG I play.

And the Zombie Toku is no exception to it (reputation obliges :))

Here am I, facing Celtic timid aggression. Glad to have another lady on our side - Cathy will definitely draw Boudica's attention as much as we will.

On the very first turn Hatty died... We won't cry after her, still I thought it was worth mentionning.

Much more interesting was the T206 event:



Followed some more fine world headlines - Boudica has suicided most of her SoD on Moscow, leaving Vienne to our mercy (2 infantries and a machine gun). Mercy that we don't possess...

Sorry for the missing pic, but in T207 Vienne fell to our mighty Wheeled monsters :devil:
We even got a GG out of this operation - I burned it on a Military Academy in Kyoto to reduce the Tank time to 1 per turn.

IBT Ivan the Terrible died in combat. He was a fine guy - our major asset agains Izzie and one great warrior against Hatty...

Boudica dealt some small damage here and there, while our Airships managed to do the same to her.

Computers discovers, I decided to go the Modern Armor path and started Satelites.

On turn 210, we lost the 3GD to Cathy, winning a huge cashflow from the operation. I start thinking space might be tricky - Cathy has already Mining Inc too.
As the WW starts to hurt, I play with the slider.

Just to continue our offensive, I take this one too:



On the last turn (1945AD - peace time ?;)), I led a major offensive on Kushans, north of Giza, losing by a very small margin - the remaining marine has 0,4 and the infantry 1,6 strength left... Our troops are badly hurt too - almost dead Tank and a to-be-promoted and to-have ~16 strength infantry.
Cathy has 4 tanks around, so I suppose this city will fall to her.

We have ~10 tanks in Vienne and some Tank/Artillery in York to pursue the aggression.

I suggest a major build-up while waiting for MA, then upgrade and hit hard - Biberacte or London. Then Boudica should talk and we can vassalize her pretty easily.

Remaining point is Cathy. She is definitely heading for space and with her corporation & Mining, she may get there before us. I think we should hurt her too, although she already have tanks.

I leave it to the group to decide where we are heading.

Azaris, you are up for more Boudi-hunting :D
 
This one I managed to play, but it's a bit of a crapshoot whether we will win or not.

On turn 1, Boudica capitulated to Cathy. I doubt very much we can take them both on even with MA. That's okay because were ahead in the space race so if we can survive we should win this. The key word is "if".

I spammed MA (plus upgraded all the tanks), mech inf, and guided missiles. The big cities concentrated on building SS parts. We popped a GE, which was nice, because we can now listen to Space Elevator music in Kyoto.

Cathy stole our Composites. [pissed] She also demanded Fission, which I gave to her so she's now Friendly. I'm not sure but I think this means she won't attack us.

Seems like we have a small edge regarding the space race, I think we'll make it. Good turns anyway - we have to match these two ladies and hope our race will go to the end.

P.S Ricardo is a latinized form of Reik Hard ( something like "strong and hard" :D ) and was brought by the Sueves to Portugal in the times of the Barbaric invasions ( BTW the Sueves were originally from Sweden ( It is because of them that it is called Sweden ;) ) and were forced to go to Germany, and then to run away in front of Atilla ). It is more a germanic name than a portuguese one....
 
Ok , one more in the bag.....

Not much to say really. Continued to make SS parts and troops while teching away, in spite of Cathy had stolen 2 techs :mad: ....

Managed to force OB with Boudi via AP ( that was obsoleted in turn after.... ) and was forced out of Rep by UN ( Cathy doing... ). Not that it hurted a lot.....

Cathy continued pilling troops, but never entered in "hands full" mode , so the game never were in danger.

Finished the whole SS ( force of habits: Fusion before Ecology..... and the engines were done before the SS life support ) and launched in 1993. The ship landed 4 years ago in Alpha centauri ( in 2003 .... we should be receiving radio signal from there now ( roughly 4 light-years away ) :lol: ). Got the AC status with a little more of 15k.

Great game ppl.... taking in account that we had toku mastering our empire for a long time ( and making some :smoke: moves... that city south of capitol is a tribute to the AI incompetence ), the lack of brainy traits and the fact that we never did oxford :lol: . The key of the game was the really focused wars we did against Izzy and Hatty for land ( I'm still trying to swallow the fact that Alexandria flipped to the Rus...didn't helped a single bit ). I'm not sure if the AP triple DP helped or not , but I'm quite sure that it railed the game for space ( probably without it we would had a nice war with boudi and not unlikely a win by Dom or conquest ). The Boudi Dow was only a death sentence to Hatty and Liz ( terrible game for the only fin civ : trapped between Boudi and ice.... ) and the end of boudi as a superpower... The rest was a quiet ride.

I don't know what Izzy was doing, but a terrible game for her. Isabella had some smoke moves two. Barcelona should've been near seville, and Seville should've been somewhere else, the third city should've been in barcelona.

Overall a good game. Looking forward to the next.

Nice finish for a nice game - though I thought it would go a little bit faster (maybe I psychologically prepared myself for a loss :mischief: ;)).

Me too, I think that the key to the final win was the early taking of Izzie. With the shrine money, our eco could breathe a little bit while going after Egypt. Those two wars have conditionned the win, though since C&B were forming one everything remained open.

I think we had a nice time frame to go after both Cathy and Boudica on the turn Industrialism checked in. The domination/conquest win was doable, don't you think? Still, it must be the first (and probably the last) time we can see Toku hit the stars :lol:

Very nice moves everyone, regarding the war, the diplo, the techs, the civics. I have learned a lot (well, maybe not that much as Toku would learn :lol:) watching you play this one. It's always a great pleasure to play alongside with fine Civ vets like all of you :thumbsup:

Being highly overloaded nowadays, I plan on finishing one more (maybe Random - azaris, do you think we can grab this one before summer holidays? ;), though PH10 seems to be heading toward the end - already replaced with PH11 :crazyeye:) before starting PW-03.
Two ideas for this one, I still wage if either win is doable. In any case, we will have a serious handicap and either will require all your expertise to make it :) I hope to see you guys on the next one!

I could take a look at AZ-06 but at last roll call no one responded so I'm not sure how much of the original roster we still have onboard.

As for Random-01, it's beyond my setup at this moment so we're again down to three players with rather intensive turnsets going on.
