The following is a circle split to 9 parts, used in the Vedic systems (this specific pic is using this in some astrology, but the circle with nine parts seems to be a symbol from Sanscrit times)
I wanted to ask if anyone knows of some background on this somewhat peculiar geometric division of the circle. Each part obviously has 40 degrees, but more interesting is that:
-9 and 0 are linked, as the obvious pinnacle of the circle.
-The other triangles seem to extend to shapes of other significance, and at any rate are not fully inside the circle.
So i would be very interested in some info on the origin of this collection of trianges in the Vedes
