How do you establish embaies and spies?
Hit H to center your capitol on your screen and then right click the city. There should be an espionage option.

I know how to undertake espinage options but how do I put embassys and spys there in the first place?

Press Shift - E or Control - E. I forget which one is which, but that will bring the espionage screen up. You can then make your way through the menus to establish an embassy / plant a spy.

Or, you can click on the capital's star logo.

Two small remarks:
The interception range is half the operational range (=bombing range/reconnaissance range) which is listed in the units statistics.
Stealth Fighters cannot intercept and jet fighters do not upgrade to Stealth Fighters (in unmodded Civ3/PTW/C3C).

Oops! I apologize, my bad memory!

Hi everyone this is my first post =) not sure if this is a newbie question but I've just won the game (Conquests) by Space Race and when I press the 'Launch' button the game crashes instead of playing the launching sequence. I've never ever had this problem in all the space race victories I've had. I recently reinstalled the game if that helps. Someone put me out of this misery. this was supposed to be my last civ3 game before civ4 comes out..=(

Did you try to reload and "re-win" that game? Did it crash everytime? What is changed in your system before and after you reinstalled civ? Why did you reinstall it?

yeh I've reloaded 3 times and it crashed it every time. I reinstalled because I had too many custom graphics that I wanted to remove and I didn't backup any of the original ones. So I reinstalled and I only changed some of the terrain and advisor graphics and nothing else. I'm 90% sure nothing is changed on my system...everything was as it is. Do you think there's a problem with the movie files?

I'd like to change leader names in the main Civ 3 Conquests game, not through the editor. Is there a text file with these names in it, or how would I go about doing this?

You can only change it by opening civ3mod.biq with the editor.
There is no text file for it.

I have just finished a game where the victory condition was 66% world population (amongst others). I got my percentage up to 68% but the game continued until 2050. My 68% was attained during the last 20 turns. Is this why the game didnt stop and give me a Domination victory?

Normal domination requirement is 66% population *and* 66% territory. Unless you were paying a modded version, I'm guessing you didn't have the territory requirement met.

Im playing OCC20kculture Monarch, and I can build Sun Tzu, Leo, or Sistine, so which one do I want to make the AI miss on? I can get also get any other of the two considering I have a SGL:p

Leos - not too useful for you, perhaps a bit for the AI
Sun Tzus - useful for the AI, not you. You could just build a barracks.
Sistines - important for the AI! The AI ALWAYS builds cathedrals, so the happy bonus benefits them greatly.

I would rush Sistines with the SGL (or save it for another wonder) or if you don't rush it with the SGL, build it first. Crippling the AI to prevent their citizens from working tiles affects their cities, in turn affecting their economy, military, science, etc. It slows them down tremendously.

Sun Tzu's, another nation-wide wonder, would be my second choice. Going against regular units is always nicer than veteran.

I was going to build Sun Tzu, since im pretty sure since i have a monopoly on Theology, and the AI doesnt upgrade, they build new units right?
