Stick to tea instead, it's classier and tastier.
Eh ... depends on the tea. I like double-bergamot Earl Grey, which is as strong as coffee. (Plus, my cold brew removes most of the acidity.)
Exactly: depends on the tea. I have been living in the US for 2 years, and what they call "tea" over there, is definitely unswallowable... After I tasted their "tea", I understood, why everyone there drinks coffee...
(But that was back in the early 90s, so perhaps things have changed since then?! I would hope so for them...)
Fortunately, my mother would send me a "care parcel" every couple of weeks, and I told her to include those things, that simply don't exist in the US: bread, cheese, chocolate and tea.
And I had two fellow students, one from England and one from India, and they both also often got tea from home, so we shared with each other. That was the only way to survive those 2 years...
