If you can't get a good answer on this thread.......read ALL articles (and even posts) by SirPleb.......THE GRANDMASTER OF CFC! ;)

I have your Monarch level HOF game but from the looks of the submission page will have to wait for your Warlord game if it was the one submitted on 31 Mar 04. Worlord was my next huge world target but it looks like you beat me to it, can I assume it is the new high score?

Use the Windows Explorer, open the folder "Saves" in your Civ3/PTW/Conquest directory and erase the file.

I was initially under the impression that it would lead you to Goodie huts/barbs, but I don't think so anymore.
Whatever the AI does, you have the potential to do better, so no :)

For the 8 levels of Civ gameplay:
1. What bonus units does the AI civ get at the start of the game?
2. What is the Shield Production Box percentage relative to the human player?
3. Same as for 2. except Food Box, if any difference?
4. Barbarian units' percentage strength in battle against the human player?

Perhaps there is a table on CFC with this info somewhere? :)

Och Laddie, it helps muchos muchos......Gracias!.....May Glasgow win ALL their matches! :)

#2 Does the AI have to generate as many shields as the human? So, for example, we have to produce 10 shields for a worker.....does the AI only have to produce 9,8,7, or 6 depending on the Game Level?

#3 Same as #2 except we're talking about the Food Box on the City Screen......does the AI have to generate as much excess food as the human player?

Are there any advantages to using the 'explore' button?

Me too. Now I use it if I'm just being lazy.

That's about what I thought, sort of an 'automate' button--I prefer to explore with a purpose so I doubt I'll ever get much use out of the 'explore' button.

Both depend on difficulty level, as you may expect. Read post #9 in the thread mentioned by Gainy Bo.

If I declare war on a civ I have a ROP with, while not having any units in their territory, does the AI still interpret that as ROP rape?

I don't think so, bur you get a Rep hit as you broke a treaty (ROP).
You should have wait for 20 turns and end the ROP treaty before declaring.

IIRC that does count as RoP rape. I am 99% sure that you won't get RoP again without *huge* costs.

Also IIRC (maybe 90% suire) RoP can always be bought if you are righ enough - the advisor will say "they will never accept this", but often a strategic resource will sway it...

Whats up to all my Civ brothers! Last night I was trying to play a scenario on Civ3 gold edition. Im pretty sure it is same as PTW and Vanilla.

My question is this: It took forever between turns. Is that normal or was it just the scenario that I was playing? It took so long that I had to quit. the wait time was something like 10-15 min. between turns.

Once again thanks in advance. I know someone out there knows the answer to this question. By the way I have patch 1.27f and DSL connection in case that matters.:thanx:

p.s. I was not even at war with any other civ. I know about the shift botton to speed up the process. That didnt work either.

When the Mayan Javelin Thrower does battle with a barbarian unit, does it have a chance of enslaving a unit, like it does versus an AI unit? :)

Yes, JT can enslave Barbs.
Also, it *looks like* the chances of success are pretty much the same as fighting against a real civ's unit, i.e. 33% IIRC. That's not too bad, so you want to make sure to have some Barb activity when playing the Mayans.:)

Btw, I haven't tried to enslave a Barb galley with a privateer, though.

Thanks Grille...yet another advantage for the Mayans in a Huge Map HOF Milk Run, with Barbarians, of course! ;)
