........OR, Real Life! ;)

TOW: Tube-launched Optically-tracked Wire-guided missile. :)

Anarres, it's a new unit in C3C. I don't see why people can't just look up the Civelopedia... *cough* Serpico *cough*

:mischief:

Oh well, I guess it's because I never make it in to the modern ages....

*hangs his head in shame*

That... that would be TOO obvious. TOO easy. The Civilopedia is for wimps, a real man... a real man...

... goes and asks other real men, I guess. :( ;)

Do you have to have Civilization load Civilization II and do you need it to load Civilization III anfd expansion pack for III?

Thanks

Just wondering, what does the TOW in TOW Infranty stand for? Tank something-or-other?

Tube lauched Optically tracked Wire controlled.
It's referring to the rocket launcher used by the troops.
You can check the Civilopedia for details.

In C3C I can't get the grids to stay - every time I start/load a game I have to manually press Ctrl-G!! I've tried to edit GRID= in conquest.ini but it doesn't help!!

I know for a fact there was no setting to alter this in III/PTW, so imagine there's nothing in C3C either. You'll just have to keep starting off with Ctrl-G like the rest of us gridders.

Yep, it sucks! Another gridder here...

Quick Question: In C3C (any version), sometimes I raze a city of size 12 or above but got no foreign worker (not even one)! Is this normal for C3C or is it a bug?

It depends on what you demand of your game. If you're picky, you should get a certified mapmaker to make you a map (and, who could create the game for you at the same time). If you're less picky, all you have to do is click through the proper buttons in the multiplayer menu.

enemy workers, settlers, or scouts?

No, your UU has to win a battle with an AI unit that has a defensive value.

What does the Rate of Fire for an artillery mean?

I am pretty sure, but not certain, that it means how many bars the artillery can take away from the unit it is attacking -- with one shot.

And Moonsinger, i've not noticed that myself, although I don't often raze cities...

......an artillery piece cannot reduce a unit to less than ONE bar. (viz. Can NOT kill the unit.) :)

Is there a way I can check how far I am from fulfilling the domination victory condition?
