No it doesn't :p
You multiply how many years you have left by the level modifier. So if it was 10AD, and you were playing on Regent, it would be:
2040 * 3 = Additional Score
Note: you would add whatever score accumulated previous to that.

My Bad... i must have been thinking of something else but have no idea what.

I'm fed up changing governments every so often and finding out that I'm getting 3x more gold/turn than I was previously.

Is there a way to tell before I change?

What are the exact effects of a Golden Age?

Can capturing (as opposed to building) the appropriate wonders trigger a Golden Age?

Nope, unless you go to the bother of calculating everything --- which would take a long time.
What are the exact effects of a Golden Age?

Adds 1 sheild to every tile already producing one, adds 1 commerce to every tile already producing one. There might be something to do with happiness, but i'm not sure what affect there is, and I don't know if it is directly related to getting a GA.

If you capture a wonder that has your characteristics, it won't spark a GA immediately. You have to build a wonder yourself - although it doesn't have to have your traits, so it doesn't matter which one.

Hope that helps :)

I don't think there's any direct effect of a GA on happiness, although if you're pumping commerce in luxaries it could be a big boost.

How does the GA start in Sengoku? For me, it always happens when I build the Wall (which is actually extremely useful in scenarios). Do all Wonders trigger it? What unit does, the Samurai Warrior? Also, in epic games can using your UU to defeat a barb trigger a GA?

Using your UU to defeat a barb in the epic game does NOT trigger a GA. The only militaristic way of triggering your GA with a UU is to defeat a real live unit. Capturing a worker/slave doesn't count...not sure about capturing an undefended city.

Good to know. Thanks dad.

How does the computer place resources? On a large world, Japan, Rome and I have a pretty large continent, I haven't found the Egyptian continent yet but I think we and Babylon to the south whose territory I haven't revealed yet are about half of the world's landmass, and J R and I have most of it. In all this space, there are 5 irons (all in my greedy little hands), two horses, and one bloody saltpeter (on the other side of Japan, of course). This scarcity has never occured in a game of mine before, and I'd sort of had the impression that they were placed in some relation to starting points, but clearly I was wrong. Are they completely random?

Definitely randomly placed, but I'm not sure how distribution is determined.

You could open up the map editor and make a few maps to see how it goes.

The GOTM maps are definitely vetted for those resource anamolies.

I've been playing vanilla, but I've been curious about gotm and wanted to give it a try. I downloaded the necessary things and have played well into gotm28 with no noticeable problems. Now on an old game save, the resource, luxury, and ruler/diplo screen graphics (maybe more, stopped to come here) aren't right. My question is how does one go about getting my vanilla back to normal??

(thought I might have some luck here since only 2 were viewing in tech support forum)

edit: never mind, I reinstalled vanilla

&^$@#*%*@#^#*$*@&^@#*!!! I consumed the Japanese to get to saltpeter, so now I have my Sipahi . . . but then I got steam power, and there's no rubber in my territory or that of my neighbors! This whole #$&*^@&#@* continent is resource and luxary poor, but on the other continent the Egyptians, Aztecs, Russians and Greeks are just swimming in ivory and everything else. It certainly shows, I'm second only to the Egyptians (Regent level) but everyone else on my continent is very underdeveloped.

F8 is victory conditions, for the others I do the same thing.

Has anyone figured out the formula for quelling resistors in captured enemy cities?

It would greatly help, to be able to just put in the exact needed amount of "strong units" to quell the resistors in one turn, and let the rest of my force move on to the next objective...

But I often find, the business of quelling is a bit chaotic, in that sometimes a just a couple of units will do it, and other times, I have to put 15 units in there, just to get 2 or 3 resistors to shut up.

Any help on how to figure out how much muscle I'll need to get the mouthy resistors to shut up????
