I did, but it just seems like it would have made sense to do it in the first place.

BTW can the maps saved be crossed over to another Civ game?

What do you mean? A map designed in editor and saved there, or a random generated map in a saved game?

I generated a map in PTW and put it in the PTW Senario folder and can start a game and when I save it is in the PTW Saves folder as a saved game. Can I take that map, say, to C3C?

Yes. In fact, it's possible to get an SGL while you currently have an SLG sitting around doing nothing. The only rule is that you can't get an MGL while you have a leader of either type around.

You should note, though, that the scientific golden age is broken. It doesn't actually work. The excess beakers that should be generated by the SGA are never really recorded, so it's a placebo effect only -- nothing really changes.

Khmm, that sucks! I use it from time to time and tech turns seem to be shorter, so what could be get in 6 turns now only 5... So I shouldnt use that for SGA, only for WoW rush? Its not fixed in 1.22?

Unless I'm missing some complication, you should be able to . . . I've played PTW maps with Conquests, although you'll have to add bananas, swamps, volcanos, sugar, etc. if you want them.

I have a city that is adjacent to fresh water, so I can't build aquaducts. However, the city still won't grow beyond a population of 6. What gives?

Plenty of food, production, improvements (courthouse, cathedral, etc.). Turns until growth says 9999, same as it does when waiting on an aquaduct or hospital. Domestic advisor is no help.

Is your city right next to the river/lake? If not, are you sure you have a surplus of food? There are the only two reasons that'll stop it from growing. Post a screenshot if you can :)

I'll get a screenshot when I get home (oops, supposed to be working). Something is obviously amiss. It is right next to the water and even if it isn't, aquaduct isn't even on the production list. If I don't have a food surplus, I'll prostrate myself before you as a class-act, state-of-the-art knucklehead. When you don't have a food surplus it says "zero growth", right? Mine says turns till growth 9999, as if I need more infrastructure.

Another obvious question -- do you have Construction? If you don't have the tech, you can't build an aqueduct. It sounds like a probable "Slap myself in the forehead for missing the obvious" problem, but which one is hard to say. Picture of the city screen and/or savefiles are the obvious way to go. You're not playing some odd mod, are you?

But he did say he haid built a cathedral. Assuming that's what he meant, and not a temple, then he would have to have Const.

Oh yeah, most of my cities have aquaducts and are waiting for hospitals...athens is floundering with tons of resources and a population of only 6.

Just trying to help: Are you SURE that the adjacent Fresh Water is not Coastal?.......it shows 2 food when you right-click on the square? :)

Of course that wouldn't explain why Aqueduct is NOT on the Production List!?

Yeah, a save would be best. Another trick for river tiles - check to see if commerce is 2 instead of 1.

Yea verily, I am a dumbass. Just need to find a way to increase food. Sorry to waste everyone's time.

Yea verily, you are not the only one. I have the same problem in a city and have given up trying to solve it, I just build a worker when it reaches 6.

I'm sure it could be solved pretty easily, if you post a screenie, or even better, a save.
