Yes, another city gets a free palace and the bennies. There was a write up a while back about free palace jumps and how to calculate where it would jump to. This might have changed for C3C, but I don't know for sure.

And yes, for mods the palace upgrade has been disabled. So has the city view. Don't ask why, just trust us. ;)

I trust sniper kitties with my life. I have to, don't I?

To keep this from being spam . . . does anyone know how to rig the game so that upon conquest cities do not lose their accumulated culture, as in Rise of Rome and Napoleon?

In the editor, there's an option to turn on Retain Culture. Don't remember where it is, but I think it's under the Scenario Properties page.

And no, you don't have to trust sniper kitties.....;)

Any ideas or thread how to influence the game to make gov change faster? Or how is the length of the anarchy period is calculated? Thanks! ;)

There is a bit of a cheat, where you discover a government tech yourself. When you are presented with the "We have discovered Republic, what shall we research now" box, go to "show me the big picture", then press F1 to get to the Domestic advisor. Start a revolution, then see how many turns it is. I fthis is too much (you think) then when you leave this screan, you get the "WE have a new form of govenment, shall we revolt" box, if you click yes, you get a different number of turns. It could be shorter, could be longer.
Or how is the length of the anarchy period is calculated?
It is something along the lines of 1 - 4 turns dependant on no. of cities, plus 1 - 5 turns randomly decided.

Thank you that was fast! ;) Is it right that in [c3c] the number of anarchy turns for religious civs is raised to two?

It is always 2 for a religious civ, i'm not sure it's possible for any other civ to get that short a time. Normally it's around 5 - 7 turns for me.

Just had a 4-Turn Anarchy with the Persians (NON-Religious), with 4 cities I think. :)

(Demi-God Level 6 C3C)

@EMan:
just curious - what map size did you play on?
respectively: if it was a scenario, did you change the OCN to...?

Thx!:)

@Grille: Tiny Map. (Despotism, NO FP, NO SPHQ)

Most of my games are HOF attempts, so I never adjust the Editor! ;)

BTW, looks like the OCN is 10 for my game.

I'm playing my third round of Sengoku (second as Regent) and has anyone else noticed that the AIs don't really seem to try? No AI city advances beyond 6ish, their militaries have a few Samurai Archers at best, often their cities are not even connected. I know the AIs suffer a disadvantage from not using the daimyo to explore, pop goody huts, and wipe out barbarians, but this is ridiculous. Has anyone else noticed this? I am new to regent level and it is definitely not my skill that is leaving the AI so far behind. I tried playing as Monarch but the Ainu kept killing my daimyo.

How do your force your galleys to go across the sea Ive never been able to figure it out :S

If you research Astronomy (or maybe its Navigation) they should be able to get across with no problems :) Otherwise, its just luck...

Unless you're meaning how do you make them move? If so, just use the same method as you would for moving land units.

@Stop Killing Me:
If you are pre-Astronomy galleys can only move one tile at a time in sea squares. This is because they are in danger of sinking, so the game attempts to prevent you from moving into sea and ocean tiles.

I think he is refering to how the mouse won't let you move your galleys into the sea. (Found that out when my keyboard broke)

Just use the keyboartd, I guess...

Hello,
I would like to know if there is a way to go back in time without loosing what i have (change the year on a saved game)?

yea nope and even if u were to edit it would still be the same amount of turns and therefore no point.

Anyways I want to know about Nukes and Rep hits. If you are the defensive country in a war but are more advanced and use a nuke on the aggressor, would you still take a Rep hit, or would you take a smaller hit, or no rep hit??????????????? Also to the above post, Welcome :wavey:
