I have another little question.I have changed my popHeads.pcx so I have little coloured faces to indicate happiness. I could not find a conquests one when I upgraded, so I used the old PTW one. It works fine until you get nationalism, then it crashes when you try to use the new specalists. Anyone got a link to the new one? Thanks.

Speaking of such mods, is there one that tells you which cities are still in resistance (not civil disorder)? I tend to blitzkrieg through neighboring civs and don't always have the units to garrison every city, and sometimes I'll find out many turns later that a city has had resisters all along when I try to rush something.

(As to your passage, history remembers Samson mostly for being betrayed by a woman.)

I once tried loading a stack of cruise missiles on a transport to see if I could come up with some sort of funny looking "missile frigate". I got 'em loaded, and I could wake 'em up... but I couldn't do anything with them.

i am playing the middle ages conquest of c3c (1.22).

how to move/use a holy relic? i has one movement point but i cannot move it.

thanks in advance :)

You put a unit ontop of it, then load the holy relic into the unit (like a boat) :) At least that's how I think it works...

To move the relics a unit has to seize it. Move a unit to the same square as the relic there will be a button( two hands coming togethers) or Shift-S. The unit that has a relic will have " !!! " after its exp. level and the units text will be Red.
Now move the unit into the city of Jerusalem to get the VPs.

to see the button you have to turn on "show advanced buttons" in the preferences

Think of what a game breaker that would be. Who needs a battleship when a transport could bombard 6 times a turn?

Good point. 3 battleships + 1 carrier + 6 transports full of arty would pretty much kill anything that approaches.

I have heard that cruise missiles can be carried and fired by a nuclear sub, but I've never done it.

I think nuclear subs can each carry one nuclear tactical missile. I don't know if they can carry cruise missiles instead, although they should be able to.

Since it's built at the beginning of the game, I imagine the Palace usually has quite a culture bonus from age. If you move it or it's replaced when you lose your capital, does it retain or lose the age bonus?

thanks for your "holy relic" tips; gonna try them out.

a4, culture bonus for palace is pretty meagre: culture value doubles after 1000 years. it increases from 1 to 2. that's all. of course you lose all accumulated culture from yr palace when you move it. :ack:

You never lose accumulated culture. All that happens is your palace is back to 1 culture per turn.

Thanks guys. Still, if you build your capital right away by the Year of Various Among Us' Lord the palace should be producing 5 culture a turn? Or does it only double once?

Doubles only once, true for all culture producing structures.
(would be kinda difficult anyways to reach an uneven 5 cpt by doubling...;))

exception:
Free temples granted by ToA don't double their output after 1000 years. The wonder itself surely doubles its output (in case you built ToA yourself).
I think it's the same with Internet's free labs, but it's a bit hard to complete the Internet before 1050AD (and who would then continue playing to 2050AD...)
