Thank you Dianthus. I am a regular on another forum, and am use to HTML. It is habit.
;) :D

Thanks for the responses guys. Even though the city was coastal, there was no ship in it (at least according to my military advisor, who said that Greece had absolutely zero military units). I'm pretty sure that they didn't have enough gold to rush anything as I had taken all of their gold the turn before for a peace treaty, and had since occupied all of their remaining territory with units. Additionally, on MY turn, there was no Greek unit in the city -- it was empty. It wasn't until I tried to move my army into the city that the TOW appeared. Weird...

1. How do you get veteran spies?
2. How can my cities around FP have so much waste and corruption?? E.g. 12/14. I have conquests v 1.22.

Be in commie or facism.

You need to understand how corruption works. Basicly, these cities have such high rank corruption that the lack of distance corruption ('cos they are close to the FP) does not reduce the total corruption much.

Spy level depends on gov't type.

The C3C FP does not work the way it did in C3 or PTW. It only affects distance, not rank corruption (or the other way around... i keep forgetting) NOT both.

It does kind of effect both. It increase the OCN, so reduces rank corruption in the whole emipre. It reduce distance corruption in cities closer to the FP the the capital.

Question.

In PBEMs, if I have a military alliance with another human player and I cancel it before the 20 turns are over, will the other human players be automatically notified of my 'deceit'? And what if I ROP rape another human player?

Just guessing here, but I'm thinking that no, they're not notified. Back when I PBEM'd, PTW1.27f, there was little if no notification, unless it was by the human player.

Do you get WWP for losing Privateers?

Wow, I'm a little confused, could somebody help me out?

I'm playing as the Myans in my first Regent difficulty level game. I'm in a monarchy and at war. I have a city near my capital that is size 12 that currently shows 16 Happy-face inducing icons: 12 from luxuries, 3 from troops, 1 from an entertainer...yet two of my citizens are still unhappy because it is "way too crowded".

Shouldn't a happy face mean a happy face? Is there some other game rule that I'm missing out on?

Thanks.

You start with a net negative 9 happiness (-9). Two citizens are born content and the other 10 would be unhappy, but one's a specialist, so he's neutral.

The 16 happy faces you produce make the two born happy happy (taking 2) and seven others from unhappy to content to happy (taking 14 happy faces). The last two are stuck.

Luxuries make content people happy before they make unhappy people content. The happiness from MPs is applied first, actually, to make 3 unhappy people content, but then the luxes (and the entertainer) kick in and all the content people become happy. Then one unhappy becomes content, then happy. Repeat.

But one happy face only moves a citizen "one space", from unhappy to content or content to happy, not all the way from unhappy to happy (that takes two).

A Very Good Question!........Those Happy Faces are only "half-happy"! ;)

Think of a Happy Citizen as 2 "points"..............thus you have 18 points.

Here's an estimate of your 18 points:
Luxuries: 12
Troops: 3
Regent: 2
Entertainer: 1

:)

Sorry if this has been asked before, but the thread is now 74 pages long....

I have played the game before and during diplomacy I have the option to offer contact with another nation, however recently (v1.22 C3C) I don't have that option anymore.

I have only played up until around Feudalism on the research tree, but I'm sure it should havebeen there before now.
The same goes for offering world maps.

What are the techs I (and the other civs) need to do these things?

Chhers!

With C3C contact trading had been moved from writing to Printing Press
