what should i do then? I dont want others to convert my city using their prophets? Should i declare war on them to capture the prophet? We signed a declaration of friendship and fought a common enemy and adopted the same ideology.

Angkor Wat : "Culture and Gold cost of acquiring new tiles reduced by 25% in all cities"
-> Does that mean that the auto-expansions of all your towns are 25% faster (and that you can also spend gold with a 25% discount to buy tiles by yourself) ?

When bulbing a Great Artist to begin a golden age, what happens to the existing progress you had towards a golden age? Is it lost or carried over?

For example, if you are 990/1000 in terms of progress towards your next golden age, then you bulb a Great Artist, after your golden age ends, do you still have 990 progress towards your next golden age?

What exactly are the effects of a golden age in BNW?

Tiles that earn gold will produce +1 gold, and your cities produce +25% culture and production. Also, your empire will be happy, but will not bank any extra happiness towards the next golden age.

Quick question: the Barbarians managed to capture my settler by leaving their camp. I immediatly destroyed the camp (which had a worker in it) with a scout from the other side. Afterwards I surrounded the area to get my settler back. However, there is no barbarian unit in the area and no worker (my settler) either. I'm fairly certain they did not escape or were caught by another civ as I saw no unit leaving the area.

Does anyone knows what happened? Did I delete their secondary captive (my settler) by destroying the camp?

I have not checked this definitively, but my experience in several games post-BNW has suggested that if the barbarians have more captives than they have nearby units + camps, the most recently captured units are deleted.

Depending on your terrain you can often block enemy proselytizers from your territory with your own units, as non-military units cannot pass a foreign occupied hex, even if you are allied. Strategically blocking roads and chokepoints often allows you to give normal missionaries enough of a runaround to kill them off by attrition. Inquisitors, as previously stated, are often the cheaper solution though.

Is it possible for my pantheon belief to disappear? In my current game, I founded a pantheon, but was unable to found a religion. If one of my cities gets converted, do I lose my pantheon belief? That would upset me since there is no real defense to that.

Yes, you can lose your pantheon, if it is replaced by another religion and, frankly, even if it is not replaced by another religion.

Let's say, for example, you have a 6 pop city with 4 pantheon followers. Some neighboring cities with a different religion start pressuring that city. Over time, they get 2 of your citizens to flip to their religion -- 1 pantheon follower and one atheist -- and then your city rises to 7 pop, with the additional pop being a religion follower. At that point, you have 3 pantheon followers, 3 religion followers and 1 atheist -- neither your pantheon nor the new religion are majority, so the city gets no religion bonuses. Over time the religion will continue to attract conversions, while your pantheon (which exerts no pressure and cannot convert religious followers) continues to dwindle.

Speaking of religions... Is there a good strategy guide or war academy article that covers religion's uses?

How do I get the free courthouse upon city capture from the iron curtain? I recently conquered 2 cities and I didn't receive the free courthouse with the iron curtain. Is this a possible bug?

The city has to be right next to the mountain and have the mountain inside the cultural borders for it to qualify.

Yea, I puppeted the cities. I tried annexing them until I was able to build but I still wasn't able to get the free courthouse.

Edit: The free courthouse appeared when I got a city gifted to me.
Edit: Nevermind.. it worked..
