Yes, 6 locked tiles and 6 citizens...what is your point? Notice that there is no empty hole to put a citizen on the Natural Wonder as there is on the other non-worked tiles. Nothing happens when I try to click on the Natural Wonder tile with a citizen available.

Edit: I just noticed that there IS an empty hole, but it is not aligned with the other holes and I just plum missed it before.....I guess it is out of whack because the holes are height-mapped? Sorry for wasting everyone's time.... What about the idea of having Natural Wonder tiles automatically worked without having to assign a citizen? It would make all of the Natural Wonders worth having.

There is an empty citizen slot, it's appearing a little higher on the 300g grassland tile. :)

I noticed that myself and edited my post above.....after 100 turns, I finally saw it....

Natural wonders are strong as they are, no need for buffing them.

one of the celtic pantheon- bran i think, increases 100% cs of cities only? or overall for all ranged units?

>Rolling in gold during the industrial era, decide to purchase a shitload of tiles all at once
Catherine: Yo broski, could you calm down there? That's awfully close to my land too.
"Sure thing Catherine, I won't purchase any more land near you."
Catherine: Thanks Isabella, you're a peach.
>Next Turn
You promised not to buy land near them for 74 more turn(s). (-74)

Running the most recent patch of Dec 1st, is this a bug or a feature and if it's the latter then could somebody explain how that works to me?

Transparent diplomacy is picking up the countdown as a negative modifier. It isn't actually a negative modifier, but transparent diplomacy doesn't know that.

it works as it should. you pissed her off and it will decrease each turn. it wouldn't mind natural border growth.

Does anyone else find that the AI is much smarter at fighting now in the recent versions? Also, all the AI is like +5 techs ahead of me all the time, is this normal?

Thanks, makes sense. I guess I'll blame her following denouncing on "Your Behavior Infuriates Them (-34)" and "Territorial Disputes strain your relationship (-40)" then. Just felt like something was going on if I promised to do something and then she denounces me before I even break it.

Fighting better, might be. My recent experience was against berserkers, but it was more a bad calculation on my part. I forgot that they can pass through rivers. Left me without atlatists and great general.

About being +5 techs ahead, it shouldn't be. At least in Emperor, I'm quite ahead of AI, admitedly Mayas are strong in early science, and my start was quite good, but I've never been so ahead since the time I played Prince. Turn 180, renaissance, first one of the class in sciences, policies and gold. I need more games to be sure, but for now, it seems that AI needs a bit more help early on. Playing 12-1-1, small tectonic map, no events.

Guys, just to confirm, 'cos I haven't played vanilla for a long time, and sometimes don't remember what is a general feature, what is VP-specific. About improvements - can you build one on top of another (i.e. replacing it?) Or once you build one, does it stay forever? Problem is that I cannot build a fort in a forest where a lumber mill is placed. I thought it would destroy it. I built a fort on top of a village some turns earlier. So - what is the explanation here?

Do you research writing very early? As I like to play warmongers I leave that until last, might be my problem. I didn't think it would make much difference though.

Are there some general tips for ethopia eg timing for your free techs early and so on?

I wanna play them for the first time for my next game (emperor)

@matlajs often writes about them right?
