Does these horses count regarding monopolies, ie is it easier getting horse monopoly as Poland with lots of stables?

I have a scenario where I built coal refineries and I get the monopoly on that resource, I "guess" that also works on ducal stable or I just observed it wrongly, I can't conclude unless tested, because idk how it really works

I'm guessing that everything that gives you extra resources from non-tile acquisition also counts toward monopolies, with the only exception of lux from Great Admiral.

You are right. I love Information Era for that - strategic monopoly on aluminium with autocracy are almost always in my games. And with strategic aluminum fighters\paratroopers\march units can start epic fights.

I think for luxuries you need at least one copy improved in your territory to get the monopoly (this of course prevents Admiral resources from giving monopoly bonuses). Last patch I tried to import 50%+ of a luxury from another civ as the Netherlands and didn't get the monopoly bonus, but did for resources I had at least 1 in my territory.

I don't think so, Playing statescraft with many allies allows you to have monopoly on glass/porcelain etc. ofc, and their improved resources.

What is the AI handicap in regards to City Strength? For example right now my capital vs theirs. Both tradition, both with a garrison, both with arsenals. I have 70, they have 135 in early Industrial.

Fealty? Spain/Babylon/Russia? Better garrison (it's based on melee strength I think)? Red Fort? Orders? Hill? Defense Process?
Not saying there isn't one, but these could make up some of the difference.

IGE of their city and yours?

In-game Edtior Screenshot of the two cities in question.

In any case they must be using defense processes or have wonders.

You should be able to get a monopoly just by import (if you tie them, whoever has the monopoly first gets to keep it).

It works for city state resources and statecraft.

Huh, I never considered that only 1 person can have a monopoly (since EICs can push lux counts above 100%), but that makes sense.

Does Civilized Jewelers' "Trade routes move twice as fast" mean they finish more often, and synergize with "on trade route end" effects?

Thank you for reminding me something I forgot to do for a long time lol. Sniping that corporation, tanzimately.

Do you upgrade Pictish warriors for pikeman str or keep as long as possible for faith on kill or do you upgrade some, ie the most or least experienced?

it depends on if you're farming barbs or if you need the combat power in a war. also: if i have limited money, i upgrade other units first.
